CoasterBuzzCon 2005 at Dorney Park: Registration flyer posted

The registration flyer for CoasterBuzzCon at Dorney Park has been posted here:

http://www.coasterbuzz.com/pdf/dorney2005.pdf

Please make note of the deadline (May 11) and the fact that there is no on-site registration. The park prefers we distribute tickets before the event, so we have to mail them out. The positive side is that you can at least show up whenever you want (though you don't want to miss lunch).

Also note that if you are using your season pass, you must indicate the pass number and park on the registration form.

As usual, we can take checks, money order, Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

Hey the CoasterBuzz Club at the top got kind of screwed up. Just thought I'd give ya a heads up. ;) *** Edited 3/1/2005 2:56:47 AM UTC by Fastball84***

Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid.

Screwed up in what way? It looks OK to me.

Mine comes up C erBuzzCon2005 oa. The last time it came up it was all scrunched together. Of course it might just be mine. ;)

Jeff - what about people that are getting Cedar Point passes for the first time and won't have their number available until at the earliest, May 9th for mailing?

You absolutely need that number? Can't just give it to them that day?

Nope... because I have to turn in the roster and pay them. I suggest that you the pass processed opening weekend and e-mail me the number if you have to.

Can the ticket purchased for this event be applied towards a cedar fair season pass? Any info will be greatly appreciated

You won't see me coming...

I don't know if you can apply any ticket toward a season pass. You'll have to call them and ask. Since these are discounted tickets, I would assume no, but again, you should call.

Ouch.

We were going to get and/or process our passes at the park when we headed over that way for this thing too.

This puts a twist on things...

I was gonna get my pass validated that day also... guess I'm going to have to change plans. But then again some early season Talon rides could be the cure for the winter blues! Dorney opens May 7th and registration is due May 11th. Can you say FEDEX since I know the US Post Office will not make it from NJ to OH in 2 days.

Watch the tram car please....
Wow, 30 bucks is not bad at all and even cheaper than last year at SFGam, way to go Jeff, my check is in the mail.

Jeff,

How long is the ERT? I don't think it said that unless I missed it.

Jeff -

Do you have a problem with us calling the park individually to see what they're willing to do about season pass people? I don't want to undercut you as the event planner or anything.

I don't understand why it's required? If people say they're going to use season passes, it's not like if they're lying they can get in the front gate? If they don't get a pass, they just have to buy a full-price ticket and that's their bad luck, as they'll have to pay even more? Just doesn't make sense to me.

Sure... feel free to give them a call. I'll drop them a line as well.

Excellent! I can't wait! Thanks for setting it up Jeff!
My guess: anyone holding a non-dorney pass normally has to visit guest services to get a comp ticket. The GS agent writes down the pass # and home park, and prints a comp ticket. Since DP wants to distribute tickets in advance, they need the pass numbers to write the comp tickets.

Perhaps they'll allow Jeff to register people without printing the tickets in advance? If so, that solves this problem, I think.

I essentially have to do the same process, and the catch is that it has to also jive with the catering numbers (which is why you can't just go to guest services).

I have never attended one of these, but I am really thinking about going to one of these. The price of $34.00 seems really reasonable and Dorney is one of the parks that I have not gone to and have really been considering. Now with Hydra opening, I am going to have to see if I can find someone to go with me.

Let me know what response you guys get from the park.

My flyer also has the "oast" of "Coaster" printed across the "uzz" of "Buzz".

The rest of the flyer is fine.

I just renew my pass online each year and choose to use the picture they have on file. Last year I had my DP pass in time to take with me to Solace. Anyone that is just renewing should use this option.
