SFoT has been open for a month, and while it's still better than last year, things have dropped off noticably. People still greet and characters are still out, but not *every* employee smiles and says hi. Now it's only about 40%.

Andy, you know I think pretty highly of your opinion, and this concerns me GREATLY...

SnyderCo can increase prices across the board and promise *improvements*, but SF also has a corporate CULTURE that has for the longest time stressed customer service - in April...if SFoT is showing signs that the fixes were temporary in nature, that doesn't sound promising for the rest of the chain...

Time will tell, and I want to remain hopeful...

So far this year, I have visited SFKK and Six Flags St. Louis, and I have been very impressed with the changes. If they keep up, things will definitely change for this chain. So far, I am amazed and pleased! I did not know if they so called atmosphere changes would make that much of a difference, but they really did. I left feeling happier and more pleased with my overall experience, and that was nice. Now they just need to keep this up! I will be visiting SFOG, Six Fllags Great America and Six Flags America later this year, and I will see how those visits go!

I too find it disappointing. Seems like the entrenched year to year culture is going to take a lot more to shake. Maybe I just hit it on a bad day, but it certainly wasn't as impressive as it was on opening day (when everyone from sweepers to ops to the hand stamp guy was saying "hi").

Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

When it comes to SFoG or SFFT, having pride in your park is not such a tall order. Bigger tests will be where parks have struggled the most, like Magic Mountain. It is my hope changes won’t simply be a lot of window dressing. Six Flags doesn't just need a shift in attitude. The parks will need to make some big changes to shed its family unfriendly reputation.
Here are some pictures of Great Adventure from this weekend of 4/8 - 4/9. You can judge for yourself if things are looking up or not.

Personally, I think they are and I'm seeing a lot more smiling happy faces when I walk around.. both guests -- young and old alike, and employees.

I hope things only keep getting better.
