This summer, I was in Washington, D.C. with a student ambassador program (I was there as a facilitator-I was responsible for 12 students for 10 days in D.C) and there were multiple times planned for primarily shopping trips, such as historic Georgetown. The bad thing was, many of the stores in that area are not exactly "kid friendly," and it was difficult to know which ones were and which ones weren't from the outside. The sad thing was, there were lots of cool stores that had great stuff that the students would have enjoyed, but they wanted to spend time at Abercrombie and the like. Oh well, I suppose we didn't go in a store that was dangerous, so it's all good!
