CoasterBuzz New Design?

Well, Jeff mentioned in a forum about working on the redesign of CoasterBuzz, so, GTTP has gotten its redesign, when is the CoasterBuzz redesign coming?
I think it would be nice, but I see no problem with the current one . It is nice and simple, yet very complete.
I agree, after all if it isn't broken don't fix it.
i know, its not that its bad, but im just saying, he already said he was focusing on a redesign, so i think he is, so its coming eventually.

The old yellow design was great, and it was a little disappointing to see it change to this... but the change eventually grew on me, and now... when I look back upon it, this is a much better design than before.

Even though it was somewhat fimilar, it still was a good change... and a new change with maybe a new updated logo might be a nice thing to try & do... even though the site is only 2 & a half years old.

I hope it doesn't change drasticly. I like CB the way it is.

go check out guidetothepoint.com to see what the future of The Buzz may be.

A lot of great features on the new boards yet they keep the same basic design as these.

Of all the forums out there POP Forums are the best I have saw. Anytime I know someone who is looking into running some message boards I tell them about POP forums.

All I need is 4.5 million bucks and a half a mile long sliver of land and maybe someone could build me my very own Shivering Timbers. ;)

I think the "don't fix it unless it's broken" rule doesn't necessarily apply to most websites. Things are always changing and sometimes a page might start to get an "old" feel to it, whether you are use to it or not. GTTP's new design looks a lot better than what it was before, although before it wasn't horrible. Keeping your website all pop'n'fresh is never a bad idea :)

It is time for a change, but some things have to happen before a serious change is made.

Because I hate building stuff over and over again, I built CliqueSite Content, which makes it easy to add content, dynamically generate navigation and edit text right in a browser window. That saves a ton of time. Build a page template once, bam, you're good to go.

Right now I'm working on the next version (the first was more of a technology test than anything else to see if .NET would do what I wanted). Instead of having ugly URL's like "default.aspx?channel=32" though it'll do simple ones like "magnum.htm" instead, and it won't be restricted to a single template page. That part is done. The part I'm working on now is the role-based permissions for channels and controls. That isn't something that I need as the single operator of a site, but for small to medium-sized business I might want to sell the product to it's almost manditory.

Aside from making some tweaks to the in-browser HTML editor, then I just need to write some simple code for the various sections and databases, which will be time consuming, but not hard. They'll snap into the CliqueSite framework, so they're really easy to add and reuse for other projects, if the need ever arises.

Aren't you glad you asked?

Ahh Jeff, you just spoke a lot of "Francais" in your post. I slept through my C++/Java class...God knows how I passed that final. anyway, I like the way the site is...but I also like GTTP's layout....cool beans

Keep using the green and yellow. It works well, Jeff.
I'm not exactly sure, but didn't the background of ths site use to be like a creme yellow?

Yes it was. I never really liked it much, I just saw it somewhere else and thought it was different.

Green will still be a part of whatever I do, but understand I'm not a designer. I'm more interested in functionality than anything else. Every once in awhile though I do something that I actually like though (the POP Forums home page comes to mind).
