CoasterBuzz games...

Is CoasterBuzz games dead? It seams ever since the members only rule, no one uploads anymore. I was just wondering if Jeff has thought about opening it back to the way it was? I really miss the way it was!

I wouldn't count on Jeff changing it back to the way it was. There have been multiple times this topic has come up and on each one Jeff has said that it's not going to change. Sry man but I don't think it's gonna happen. I'm thinking of just paying the $20 to get into the club and to be able to upload again.

Personally, I'm not even playing RCT anymore right now. I'm patiently waiting for RCT3 to come out. Things should liven up then.:)

With all due respect, "the way it was" was the problem and exactly why it went to members only.

There have been between 250 and 275 uploads since the change. That works out to roughly 30 a month or 1 a day.

1 new quality file a day on average for the past 9 months vs wading through 30 or 40 bad ones to find a decent one at most other exchanges?

It's a no brainer to me. I don't miss how crazy and useless things started to feel that summer before Jeff made the change.

Geneticfreak is right, who even plays the game anymore? The first two games have passed their prime. We'll all have to wait for 3 to come out.

I've recently caught the "RCT bug" and started playing a little again. For some reason the game really relaxes me. I'm also a lot better at it now than I used to be. I guess smarts grow with age. ;)

I still pick it up every now and then. Though I prefer the high level of detail available in such games as No Limits, the RCT games and expansion packs allow me to turn the brain off, turn the creativity on, and kill an hour or two enjoying myself. It may be outdated, but it's still the most enjoyable way for me to get my coaster fix during cold Ohio winters.

It's also great for long rides in the passenger seat on a low-end laptop. :)
