What an exciting year this is shaping up to be, huh? A cursory review of parks and club sites indicate a VERY busy season of ERT and events.
Have there been any Coasterbuzz events announced yet and can Jeff give us any hints as to what we might expect in '06??
Hope everybody is doing well and great and look forward to seeing all of you on the midways!!!

A day at the park is what you make it!
First car, second row, You won't need your seat :)
Chuck, who has nothing against Beast Buzz. It's the only time you get great and night rides on Timbers.
I'm talking with a few parks about additional events, but I can't make any promises. We'll go back to Holiday World in 2007. And someone who now works at a certain water park now thinks it'd be a great idea to have an event there.

Jeff ERT and getting the coaster at it's best isn't always the same thing. Matter of fact, If you don't have relatively full trains, Your not gonna get best rides.
All I was saying is Timbers normally doesn't run like it does after 8pm and a little extra graphite on the tracks.
Same with Legend and Raven, Although I think their normal running condition is much better than timbers runs on a hot summer day.
Lots of people say Timbers isn't all that and I was one of them until I experienced it's best the following year at Timbersfest.
In 2001 I took a 24hr, 1000 mile round trip up there to find it running very sluggish with almost no air on the return. At timbersfest every element delivered in spades.
Chuck, remembering how sometimes they used to turn beast brakes way down for erts or morning rides. Thats what Im talkin bout :)
As for TimbersFest and MiA, I hate to say this but I feel that that event has seen its day. Back in the glory years of '01, '02 and '03, it was really one of the most popular coaster events of the summer. But, having made the trek last year for the first time in 2 years, I felt that a lot of the "air" had gone out of, not only the ride itself, but the event as well. There is a magical time for a coaster to "rule" and I think that Shivering Timbers may have seen its day.
Some of my fondest coaster memories actually center around that event but I think that we have to know that there will be many other great days (and nights) of coastering to come. . .
I strongly suspect that the Wisconsin events planned in August will be "not-misses" and if either of those coasters are running like they did last summer, it will be REQUIRED RIDING for all.
Of course, we're all very aware of what will be happening in Southern Indiana for most of the summer!! VOYAGE will rule, no doubt, and we have great hopes for Beech Bend as well.
