Coaster trip 2005 day 4 Dorney June 8

Associated parks:
None

I arrived a little before 10 and headed to guest services with my CP pass to get an entrance ticket to the park. I headed over to Talon first but it was closed and not even testing yet. I met a guy named Mat who is from Youngstown OH on his own coaster trip. He had just come from NJ and was able to get two laps in on KK, one in the front seat. It was great to meet up wit someone to ride with and talk with. We decided to head over to Hydra the Revenge and give it a whirl. It’s not a bad coaster but it’s no Medusa. There is a little camel back about half way through the coarse that could give some nice air if it was just a little faster. The barrel roll right out of the station is something different.

Next was Steel Force. I think they need to cut back on the trim in the block breaks and it would be a great ride. Talon finally open up and we took a few laps on it. Lines were short all day and moved quickly. The heat and humidity was bad, but I could be at work suffering in it to. I stayed till about 6 pm, as I wanted to get rested up for Nitro, Medusa and Kingda Ka the next day.

ThunderHawk was shut down all day. *** Edited 6/15/2005 1:39:27 PM UTC by CP ismyhome***

hey. I was there on the same day. I was wearing a Houston Astros hat. I got multiple rides on Steel Force, Talon and Hydra.

I was uninpressed with hydra, the jojo roll was the worst. I didn't like steel force as well. But I did love talon. Front seat and back seat. It's my number 5 fav coaster.

I thought it was crazy how empty the park was all day. No wait for 3 big time coasters(regardless if I liked them or not) all day.

I am sure Steel Force could be a great ride with a little less trim at the blocking breaks. I agree that Talon is truely a winner. I have never met a B&M invert that I didn't like.

I didn't remember a Astros hat though I probably did see you as the park was so empty. I think I had my red Nitro shirt on.

I did sort of a review in my first post.

I also hit Six Flags Great adventure, Hershe Park and Knoebels.

My fav coaster on the trip was Batman the ride(my #2 coaster now) and I ended up getting on Ka 2 days before(once) and 1 day before(once) it broke. When I found out about that I was soo happy that I got on it twice.

BTR is a great ride, but I love Nitro even more. Great to hear you got on KK a few times. I seem to have a jinx with rocket coasters.
