Coaster Shows on Discovery Channel

I checked the first three pages, didn't see anything or missed it, but on at 8:00-11:00 Eastern time 6/2/05 on Discovery, three coaster shows are playing.

So like, right now. :)

Chattanooga needs a ITG2 Machine!
8:00: Amusement Parks, the Pursuit of Fun
9:00: Scream Parks (SFMM)
10:00: Mega Machines: Extreme Rides

To my knowledge, all of these shows are at least a few years old.

Mega Machines is brand new, the others are older. Watching the 8:00 program now, it is like watching a history of coasters with them highlighting Steel Phantom and Drachon Fire. I'd never seen this one before, so it is interesting.

Rarely updated, but that is OK; Penncoasters.com
Riddlers Revenge is the first thing I see... I'll watch the rest and tell you about it.

Now they are talking about Goliath... as in, the construction... this looks old...

Does anyone know anything about Mega Machines? It's actually a new show. It seems like they made alot of new coaster shows a few years ago and now just play them occasionaly, so they seem new, I guess.

Edit- They show the Metro tram ride in motion with people in it. I don't believe that ride has been open in quite some time. *** Edited 7/3/2005 1:28:53 AM UTC by PKI discodude***

I like disco.
Uh, there's nothing new about Extreme Rides. It's been a staple in their Thrills and Chills specials for years.

Nothing new here. You can always tell the age of a show or clip by the size of Paul Ruben. It's not unlike counting rings on trees.

Yup - this show features Alpengeist and Superman: the Escape. It first aired in either 1997 or 1998.

I was asked to describe Deja Vu in one word. The word? AAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!
Is it a rule that like ACe members have to wear their T-Shirts to parks? Noticed all the people on these shows have them on.

Was really cool to see Drachen with the Corkscrew in the drop. I miss that coaster. *** Edited 7/3/2005 3:42:16 AM UTC by Crashmando***

Thanks,

The only person from ACE I've ever met (in line for Kingda Ka) was wearing an ACE polo shirt. It didn't have gravy stains, though.

For filming, many times you're asked to wear either the merchandise from the ride itself, or ACE stuff.

Side Note/Question:
PKI discodude said "They show the Metro tram ride in motion with people in it. I don't believe that ride has been open in quite some time."

Is that that weird platform thing, *sorta* looked like a coaster train? Well, more like Mummy's "platform" train than a regular coaster train. I only saw a couple glimpses of something I had NEVER seen before during the lead-in to the show. Where/what was that?
