Coaster selection RCT2

I think that it would be cool if the coasters where in groups by their manufacture. Like you clicked on 'Itinam', then you got a different selection of choises of Itinams rides like , 'giga', 'Impulse' and so on, And the same for B&M and Vekoma. What do ya all think??
Yeah, that would be cool, But, the game is aimed at the non-enhusiast GP. It would be confusing for them.

"So Quoth the Lemon Chill Guy" (TM) (C)

They can't use the real manufacturer's names for legal reasons, and of course it could get confusing as Tim said.

Itinam? Try Intamin.

Yeah, I didn't know about any of the Manufacturers and what they built until I joined coasterbuzz. Actually, I found a link a couple of weeks ago that explained which companies built what and that really cleared things up for me. And if you think that that's sad, keep in mind that I'm 15 years old.

Magnum is red,
Millenium Force is blue,
I love Wicked Twister,
and Raptor too.

Yeah, well im 16 and I live in Australia so the internet is all I got.

CedarPointNut, what was the name of that site with all the stuff on it!

I don't think it would be hard. There is car racing games that classifies the cars in different manufactors and I don't really know them but I just click on the one I think looks good. If they see the kind of coaster that looks good and have different selections they should get the hang of it. I wish that option was available.
I have often wanted to see this in RCT. I think many in the industry would be happy to let this happen. The amusement attraction industry is very small and I think that some competing companys are friendly with each other. It would be nice to have their logos and rides in the game.

I think that they should have them like in parenthesis, so this game could also be educational in the amuzement industry! Like, for a whoa belly, it would be like: Whoa Belly (S&S)

Yeah you wish you were a Cedar Point Nut! By the way, a little off topic, but what parks do they have in Australia?

We have 4 parks and a few little pathetic things which to me, are an embarasment(sp?). 3 of them are at the Gold Coast, and 1 at Sydney. Dreamworld's my favriout (gold coast), Its got an Arrow double looper called Cyclone( and its yellow!). The Giant drop which is the tallest free fall drop ride in the world (my fav ride cos theres noy much here in coaster terms)((400ft)) and a clone of S:TE at SFMM, but there is only one side, All the other ride are like family and stuff.

Theres Movieworld which has a Vekoma inverted which is my faveriout coaster, Its got a great drop and 5 inversions.

Then there is Seaworld, its got a 30 second long coaster wich I rode 12 times and thought id get off to find my parents!

And Wounderland has like the only 2 wooden coasters in Australia, But theyr'e VERY rough, and a typical Vekoma Boomerang.

We also have Wet'n'wild water park which is a water park, its got some speed slides and tunnles and a great family day out.

Cedarpointnut, I hope this answers your Question?!?

I had fun telling you about the parks in Australia, you are so lucky living in the States. I cant wait to get over there!!

While it is true that RCT couldn't use "real" manufacturer's names for legal reasons, Chris could have easily have made up some manufacterer's names, and aloud us to rename them to the real ones.

This wouldn't confuse the general public, and would allow enthusiasts to have B&M inverts, Intamin hypers, etc. and it wouldn't take much programming either.

I don't think Hasbro has released that type of information yet.

Cedar Point 2003, and it begins...

It doesn't seem that there are going to be many new coasters. It looks like the game revolves around new track elements, scenery, and recreations. Either way is all sounds awesome and I just preordered it last night.
