Coaster remnants in/on PKD's Volcano mountain

Nightride,

the mine train you're referring to is in fact the land of Dooz dark ride, which was redressed to become Smurf Mountain. There was never any other ride in the mountain. All coaster looking track that anyone glimpses is either part of the arrow designed track system for Dooz/Smurfs or perhaps support structure for the mountain itself.

While we're on the topic, anyone know if I'm correct in remembering the name of the original ride that became Haunted River was in fact 'The Lost World'? I know that was the name used to refer to the whole mountain complex, but I remember riding the flume that first year it was open and having the crap scared out of me by some wizard looking guy. Anyway, I think the ride was called Lost World too (just that first year)

Pun is the death of wit.

No, the flume was originally themed to "Atlantis" and had that in the title. The flume (which became the Haunted River in 1979) was never called "The Lost World."

"Lost World" was, as you said, the name of the entire mountain complex.

OK, sorry. The date I had for the supposed mine train were77-78, but wasn't that when the mountain was under construction? I'm probably just mixed up.
