Coaster park of the 80s

I know that CP seems to be the park of the 90s as far as coasters go but what park dominated the 80s as far as coasters go? I have been told that SFGAm back in the 80s was the park to visit when it came to coaster riding. Being that it is my hometown park has nothing to do with it. I was told this by people that I have visited recently at various parks. Share your opinions. P.S. If you are under 20 years of age you probably cannot answer this.
SFGAm really started putting in better coasters and rides in the eighties. Better in the nineties. Would've been nice to have a new ride this year. I'm coming up 6/4.
SFGAm was my home park during the eighties but I wouldn't sat it was the best coaster park. I mean think about it, during the 80's they had the American Eagle (b4 the new trains and trims =]) the demon, the Whizzer, the Tidal Wave (shuttle loop ala Greezed Lightning) and then in '87 they got Shockwave. Not a bad collection, but far from the best. Wait a minute I forgot one Z-Force (or the coaster currently known as Flashback). I'm still going to have to say that either CP or SFMM were better in the 80's. SFGAm with the additions of B:TR, Viper and RB in just now IMHO becoming a world class park. I still think it has been still is the best themed park behind IOA, disney and the Busch places.
