Coaster Names

Thanks for the trip back to my childhood. I actually have a die cast 1/1300 scale Space Battleship Yamato sitting on my desk right now. I remember planning my day during summer vacation around when Star Blazers was on.

Jeff if your saying you have the entire Battle of the Planets series on dvd I hate to say it but you wasted you money. You could've bought one episode and had the entire series They were all the same plot. The bad guy(Zoltar right) builds a big monster robot. The GForce teams whips up on it. Then Zoltar hits the self destruct button. Ha Ha.Kinda like The Dukes of Hazzard or Three's Company were all the same plot.

My apologies to the original poster for getting this off topic here are some of my names and some variations of super hero names for you

Mustang,Renegade,Superman Steel Justice,Superman Metropolis Mayhem.Batman Beyond,The Flash,Lobo,Wolverine,Daredevil,Black Knight,,Escape Velocity,Heavy Metal,Thunder Strike,Tyranusaurus Rex,Ultrasaur, And in one of my kiddie areas I even used Barney the Dino-soar (junior inverted)

No... Robotech, all three story lines. I think it's 12 DVD's. We've only managed to get through the Macross series so far.

I think I have hijacked my very first thread! I believe the name of the show was G-Force. I dont seem to remember the name Battle of the Planets. Whoever brought up Star Blazers, that show kicked some serious a$$. I remember it being on every morning before going off to school and how addicted I was to the storyline. I also remember how cool the Comet Empire ships were :)

Yea Star Blazers is one show I'd like to see an updated version of. Instead we get a crappy new japanamation style Transformers and the gawdawful new Ultraman (one of the dubbed characters actually said "SHAZAM" like Gomer Pyle. But we do have a pretty decent He-Man and a great Justice League Thank you Cartoon Network

Those are some pretty nice names Dale. Am I the only one who actually researches the names for coasters etc. I try to match it with the theme as much as possible. Also, iI try to use names that were never used before. Recently I got into the Mortal Kombat series....thats always a good source for names. You'll see my park when I release it :)

cool, another MK junkie! i've been in2 it since the first game came out!!! that, coasters, star trek/wars, and janet jackson round out my fanatical things i like most. actually, MK is a great way to name coasters, esp. if u use Japanses and Chinese themes, since u learn a bit about their gods and myths. i've done some MK stuff in my parks before in RCT1!

Pretty much names of animals and random objects do the trick.

Bobsled: Refrigerator, The Fridge, Fidgeting Fridge

Hypercoaster: Anything with an "X" sounds good

Multi-dimensional Coaster: Any letter (i.e. A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L,M,N,O,P,Q,R,S,T,U,V,W,,X - duh, Y - I like that one, and Z)

Giga Coaster: Holy Crap!, Poop-in-a-cup (?), Mommy!, Daddy

LIM Coaster (any of them) : Limmy

Spiral Coaster: Blender

Any other gay coaster: The Closet

My friend is probably the best coaster namer. He can get themed, funny, and really stupid names right of the bat, where it takes me a while to think of a name. I can't even think of one for the coasternet contest! One of his names that I always use is Loop There It Is for a shuttle loop.

Then I always use Wimp Ride or Really Intense Ride for a merry go round or something like that.
