They couldn't have gotten very far using a helicopter. There are a lot of coasters in that area, and they pretty had ridden them all anyways. A copter wouldn't have helped them.

And interesting stuff, I read an interview with the guy that has the record (his names escapes me but i think it may be a hispanic name, maybe not) but when marathoners finish, they usually can't sleep very well because they still wake up every few minutes in bed to brace themselves for the first drop.
