My friend and I recently came back from Las Vegas. While out there, we rode Manhattan Express 7 times, and Speed the ride 20 times. While in the hotel, we both agreed that we were "Coaster Drunk". Has anyone else felt this? It feels like you are still on the coaster, and your mind is going in all directions. I also found out that If I fall asleep in a car on the way back from a park, I dream of being on a coaster because the bumps feel like it. Anyone else feel this??
When I return home from a park and go to bed, which may be several hours later, I feel my head spinning as though I'm on a coaster. I know what you mean. It depends on how many times I've ridden a coaster but it has happened to me!
Yeah I have experienced that.. I call it
'Mind Decompression' Its like your brain is slowing down from all the coaster elements you just experienced!

Yeah, that happens to me everyday when I get home from a park...I like it, it feels like I'm still riding.

My friend and I called it going "dilerious". It was at Cedar Point during Coastermania. We were standing in line at Magnum for the late night ERT. We weren't moving, but it felt like we were. It was weird.
My awesome massage chair does the same thing...after sitting in it for 20 minutes you can shut the chair off and it still feels like you're getting a massage!
A few years back, we rode the Tidal Wave (Greased Lightnin') 30 times non-stop at Great America, SC.
I felt drunk for about an hour or so afterwards. It was really strange...I felt like I was actually drunk!

Decisions determine destiny; Destiny determines decisions.
Have you guys heard the roller coaster's chain lifts and the people screaming on it when it gets stuck in your head on your way home? It happens to me a lot.
I rode Anaconda @ PKD 17x in a row without even moving seats. The ride ops kept asking us if we needed to get out. I inverted 68x in less than an hour. I felt sooooo dizzy! I was really coaster drunk!

Drachen Fire, Will it be swimming with the fishies?
The feeling is actually called vertigo. It is the sensation that you are moving, when you really aren't.
I suppose you could call it "mind-burn", too. It occurs when you repeatedly do something without taking a break. Don't know if it is scientifically valid, or even has a name - but it can happen when you focus on anything too much.
Have had it happen to me too. I get that on a trampoline sometimes too.
I've never experienced this because of a coaster. I guess I've never ridden enough times in a row for this to happen (I've done about 50 in a row on the Gwazi, 20 on the Kumba, 20 on the Kraken - apparently not enough). However, tea cup rides really work. If I ride one of those a few times, I can barely walk. BTW, those are the best flat rides in the world. :)

You rode it 20 TIMES??? Isn't that thing like $9 per ride? Is it that good? (Or were you just drunk... coaster-drunk?)

I refuse to add a signature. Damn, too late.
I got this after riding the Great White (CCI in Wildwood, NJ) five times straight. Unfortunately, they wouldn't let me stay on so I had to run out and back on again.

i kinda understand what you are saying only i have felt this at the beach. every summer my family rents a beach house and i surf all day. at night in my bed i feel myself rocking in the waves. i thought i was crazy but i guess im not alone(even though u guys got it on coasters) i have also felt the same thing after carnivals and riding zipper(if anyone knows what it is) about 40 times. i feel like im still spinning
a few years ago at cp my sister and i rode mantis like 13 times in a row in like a half hour. it was right before the park closed and there was like nobody back there. anyways when we got back to the hotel and i got in bed like 30 mins later i felt like i was going to fall out of the bed. it was the coolest feeling.

front car on mf. hope you have the chance to do it.
Yeah! I thought I was the only one! After a long coaster ridin day at PGA I had 2 front row rides within about 20 minutes of each other. Top Gun is real intense so that night as I was sitting right here in my computer chair writing a TR I did feel a sinsation of g's once in a while and everything would move it was awesome!
At first, I thought you guys were talking about getting drunk, THEN riding a coaster... if anyone has any experience let me know if its worth it.
Oh yeah, Viper at MM 11 times in a row did that to me

O.K. I see the stereotype of people on this board enjoying alcoholic beverages but contrary to popular belief, alcohol doesnt play a role in this site(98% of the time).

The one coaster that does me in everytime is Legend at Holiday World. During the SRM and GOCC events, I swear to GOD it felt like I was trashed. My speech was slurred, vision blurry, laughing uncontrollably...strange to say the least. Can't wait to experience that again in about a month!
