And if it was for the prototype cost, makes one wonder why any park would buy a prototype, personally I'd wait a year or two to save a couple of million!

What I don't get is how Xcelerator cost $13 million, while Storm Runner, with 3 inversions and a longer track length, only cost $10 million:
Location is a big factor too. Xcelerator is in Southern California where the cost of living is higher. It will cost more to build it there where people will get more money per hour. For example and Ironworker in the LA area makes $27.31 and one in Harrisburg, PA makes $23.67. Thats a $3.64 differance per hour and $145.60 per week for each guy. If you have 15-20 men working on it 40 hours a week that really adds up. Then add how much more other things like wood and concrete will be and it's pretty simple to see the $3 million differance.

True there, but CF certainly got a chance to TEST the smaller version before going FULL-SCALE, so to speak, with TTD...;)
...and c-punk, really, even at those wages (WOW am I in the wrong line of work, LOL)....150/wk X 20 steelworkers (gender sensitivity ya know) is still only 3K/week. Even IF the coaster took 6 months to build (not likely), then we're still talking less than 80K....which brings me back to the concept of labor not being a MAJOR factor in cost...
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

how does this prove my equations wrong? if $1 = £0.5424, then £12 million = $6.6 million, which is correct... all my calculations are correct...
