Coaster Con/Mt. Olympus crowds?

Ok people, I haven't been to a coastercon and we've heard it can get crowded. My question is does anybody in the knowhow think that My. Olympus will get a lot of enthusiasts during the Six Flags Great America portion of the event? Basically, I will be travelling a long distance to ride Hades and those dates work well. We had thought we should stay away from the entire area altogether but I guess I just wanted opinions on wheter the con people will trek to Hades early in the week or just wait till the event scheduled on Thur/Fri. I have heard that those who go to these things take in all of the activities associated with the events. If I travel to Wisconsin, I want it to count!

Thanks

Will Con attendees skip the SFGAm portion to be in the Dells? No. Might they be in the Dells pre-Con? Possibly. I'd guess a vast majority of attendees will be at SFGAm on the days Con is scheduled for SFGAm and wait to be in the Dells on the days Con is scheduled for the Dells. The percentage of those skippnig a portion of SFGAm for the Dells parks would be small. At least that's how I see it...I could be wrong.
Mamoosh, I greatly appreciate that opinion because early in that week just happens to be the best time for me to get out there and when I do, I want to avoid crowds for Hades and Zeus as much as possible. We originally thought everyone might head up to try Hades because SFGA has no new coasters this year which is why I wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts.

Just because SFGAm has no new coasters doesn't mean all of the Con attendees have ridden them all. I think you'll be OK. I was in the Dells early June last year and crowds were minimal.

That being said you need to realize that no one has a crystal ball. I nor anyone else can accurately predict crowd size as there are so many factors [when school is in session, what events are happening at the park, what the weather is like, etc] that can affect how crowded a park is.

If your concerned about attendees hitting the Dells pre conference, also keep in mind that both Timbersfest and an ACE day at Indiana Beach will be going on the during the days preceding it. I would imagine that a lot of attendess could possibly be hitting up those events as well(instead of being in the Dells).
It wouldn't make a lot of sense for an attendee to go to the Dells early. Admission to Mount Olympus is included in their registration but it is only good on Thursday and Friday. Also Noah's Ark and Timber Falls are offering significant discounts for convention attendees but only on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

And like Moosh said, just because SFGAm doesn't have a new coaster this year, they have added a lot in the last few years so some coasters will be new to a lot of people. I haven't been to the park in a couple of years so Superman, Ragin' Cajun, Vertical Velocity and Deja Vu are all new to me.
