Coaster Clubs

This is mainly directed to my fellow high schoolers. How mainy of you have Coaster Clubs at your school.. Now if you don't know what I mean by the word clubs here is an example-Thesbians,FBLA,Chess,Key Club.

The only reason I'm asking is because my school sucks unless its at sports, however if you live in Oregon than you know that Tualatin High School is a really good school.

I wish we had a coaster club at my school... only problem is that I think I'm the only Enthusiast in my whole school!

I actually had this problem at the beginning of the school year. I thought why not take it to the principal. So me and a buddy ( who loves coasters as much as I do ) decided to ask him. We went and talked to him and he said if we can get a teacher to sponsor it then we can do it. Well that was hard but I was sitting in Algebra 1 drawing a layout of SOB when Mr. Troyer ( Mr.T for short :) ) said " I have rode that!, Son of Beast is awesome." So needless to say he is nowour sponsor and we have Coasterholic Weekly.

Well lets see, Im the bigget loser in chool and have about 3 friends so that would make a great club!

Thats so cool. I think next year i am going to try and do something like that.

At least your friends are coaster enthusiasts like you. My friends laugh when they see the Cedar Point map and the Xcelerator concept art in my locker.

In fact, only 2 of my real friends actually have been to The Point... Great workings for a Coaster Club eh?

I can imagine what it would be like at my school.

'Deja Vu fell off it's track again!'

'Deja Vu killed someone else today!'

'Deja Vu got stuck upsidedown in the loop-de-loop again!'

'Deja Vu....'

'SHUT UP! Deja Vu just got valleyed again, plain and simple. The word valley should explain itself, a low point between to high points. That means nobody got stuck upsidedown, nothing fell off, and nobody died!' -- thats me.

Deja Vu count this season: 1, but thats still more than most other people who've been to SFGAm this season!

Alright, I have a question for all of you. In order for our school to approve clubs, we must submit a proposal. In this proposal, we must include at least five activities we would plan on participating in. Now, here is what I have now:
-Trip to SFGAm
-Rollercoaster Design/AutoCAD workshop with drafting teacher
-Offseason visit to SFGAm pertaining to winter maintenance
-Midwest Coaster Trip with stops at Indiana Beach, possibly Holiday World, SFWoA, PKI, and Cedar Point

Can anyone think of any other possible events we could do that would be financially feasible?

You could stop by CCI in West Chester, OH. Maybe they'd take you on a tour of their facilities, talk to you about design? Who knows?

CCI doesn't really like people just stopping by. I've contacted them and asked if I could take a tour. I didn't get a reply!

It's his turn to feast, when you ride the Son of Beast.

They might not do it for individuals, but for a high school coaster club? You don't know until you ask.
