Coaster Chaos at Indiana Beach (May 4th, 2002)

Hi Everybody!

I am planning on attending the Coaster Chaos event at Indiana Beach in a few weeks, however I have a small problem. I won't be able to arrive until about 11:30am, and that will be too late to pick up the event packet (which includes the wristband, etc). Can I ask some kind CoasterBuzzer to pick up this packet for me and my group (just four of us), and meet us later at the entrance for a hand-off?

I have already mailed the regional rep (Scott Holmes), and was told that 9-10am is the only time attendees can pick up the packets (which seems odd) .. So help would be greatly appreciated.

I know this event will have pretty light attendance (since it's regional), but I hope someone from here will be going. I'll gladly provide ice-cream or some food for who-ever helps us out! :)

Thanks,
Cam.

ps: Here is a link to the event flier, if anyone is interested:

Well, there was a thread a couple months back about certain regional events and promptness. I know nothing about the circumstances involved, nor do I know anyone directly involved in the situation. Here's a link:

I know for a certainty I would never go. My wife doesn't tell me what to do or when to do it on my vacation--and nor do I tell her. That'll be the day I drive 500+ miles for anyone else to do it. The day after Hades freezes to a solid block of ice.

Yes, I remember that little mess .. I was actually going to go to that event, but bailed when I saw the weather.

Regardless of what people think of The Holmes', I'm trying work within the system .. Even though the timing seems to me to be unnecessarily strict, I can't imagine it'll be too difficult to find someone to help me out. (I'm still looking, BTW .. come-on people, where's the coaster love?!! )

I was originally planning to go to this but since I am only going to make one trip to IB this season, I want to make the most of it (get to ride LoCoSuMo) which won't be open yet...so...my trip will have to be sometime in the summer.

I wonder how many others are doing/planning the same thing?

Sadly I won't be able to attend because of bowling reasons. However I will go to the opening ceremonys on May 17th. I have school that day though so ssssshhhhh.

You can hear the laughter, you can hear the mighty roar. From the brickyard down in Indy to the white Chicago shore. It's a rollin', twistin', turnin' and might we both suggest. You get you fanny ridin' on the Cornball Express!
