Coaster Celebration 2006 at SFGA

FWIW: Andy, STOP @ SFStL will not be open on opening day and we'll have to see if they are able to get all of the new kiddie area done by opening day as well.

Why does GAdv. insist on opening their coasters halfway through the season and setting event dates which keep getting pushed back or around or not having the premier coasters running for them?

Because they stopped building B&Ms and started building Intamins, duh.

I have been to every CC since they started and theres never been over 400 people there. For the night ERT only about half are there. CC has always been for everyone and its even in there brochures thats how I found out about it in 1997. When it first started it was a 2day event with 8hrs of ERTand now its 2hrs of ERT.

CC was hoping to become the east coasts Coastermania, but the crowds never got big enough to keep it as a huge event, so they sized it down for the crowd that does come. I can assure you that it may seem that there's just a little time to ride, but it was totally enough time to hit every ride included a couple times.

Six Flags financial situation may have also played a part in the reducing size of the event, but it's definately a very nice time.
