coaster built, never opened........

Anyone know anything about that coaster in Oz that was built, but never opened, supposedly cause the test sandbags never made it. Its in the Blue mountains region, near a really old scenic, which still operates.........
Oh, that sounds scary!! haha. Sounds like the perfect place for a ghost story to be set.. wooooo......

yes, ive heard of it. it was a small white steel coaster, and is being adjusted becuse it was built next to a large 100 ft quarry, and was hurling the sandbags off.

id rather be on a coaster.....
What Park and what was wrong with the coaster????
Oh that must be great advertizing for the park what ever its name is!
'You talking about the Orphan Rocker or something like that? I remember seeing articles years ago in RollerCoaster about it. Seats were sideways on the train and the cars could tilt if I remember correctly...

Another example of a built-but-not-operated would be Skytrak, the *original* flying coaster.

Where is this at? What happened? Im confused.
Cool! I think we should all petition to Stephen King to write his next big book on the coaster!

RideMan - SkyTrak did operate actually as I remembered seeing reviews for the ride, however it was Broken down more than it was up and running and there was huge problems with the trains getting stuck on the course etc, and after only 1 year I think, it was demolished

Yeah, I remember that coaster in Australia, I cant remember where it was, but there was pictures of it somewhere on the net(cant remember where though) apparently it never opened because of the location, apparently it was built near a cliff and supports were unsafe etc, and even when tested, it didnt actually make it all the way round, To this Day, it is still SBNO and if it ever does open, WHO KNOWS.

According to Roller Coaster Database, Wild Wind at Rye Playland never opened. Tests of the Zamperla ride showed high G-forces.
