Coaster at Enchanted Village is going up quick!

I have been waiting for updates for quite some time, but I just couldn't resist with the day off today, so I ran down to Federal Way to check out the progress of the new S&S woodie. Holy crap! That thing is moving along quickly, and starting to take shape, mostly in the corners. The lift hasn't even started construction, but I talked to a carpenter, and he did give me some info. He started work with the construction company recently, but did know that the ride would top out near 85ft. He had no idea of length. He said the contruction companies are given what they need to know. Build here... build there, etc. He did list a completion by contract date of June 1st, so for all of you planning on CAC and Playland trip, your dreams will apparently come true. Check out http://wildonescoasterclub.tripod.com/evwoodieconstruction.htm for the latest info and pics. Man, oh man... those pics don't even give you the drama that awaits. That third corner is really tight ala the 4th turnaround on Coaster at PNE. Methinks I will be in heaven.

Hey, it isn't MY website.:) Still, aren't those pics exciting? Man... to see it in person is a whole other rush. I have never had the chance to witness a coaster built in my community, so it makes all my life meaningful...;)

Well, I won't be the one to mention the MJ coaster in connection with that last pic...;)

Seriously, thanks Rob, great photos, happy to hear we'll be able to ride this sucker come August....:). It does remind me of when I got to witness Gwazi during the *birthing* process....

P.S. Peter Griffin, eh Rob...life just KEEPS getting better...Brian may be my role-model, but Stuey reminds me of my youth...;)

It is exciting to see a new coaster being built, isn't it? I bet that thing will fly through the rain. :)

Thanks for the pictures!

I'll have to send it to Pete since the FBI/CIA/ATF/Dept. of Homeland Security/whatever is on the way to confiscate all of *your* computers. Sickos. ;)

I guess you're right, Bill. That didn't make much sense did it? I just really wanted to make some kind of joke involving the Department of Homeland Security. I'll try harder next time. :(

Congrats to everyone who will get to ride this new woody...looks like fun!

Airtime Aaron deserves praise and thanks for keeping us updated on the construction. I may live and work in Portland, but my heart now belongs to Seattle:) this will go a long way to soothing the hurt over the failed GNW..

This is the best thing to happen to us coaster starved enthusiasts living in the PNW in years. I foresee myself making several trips to Federal Way this summer.
