Well, I just got home to Utah from an amazing trip in Ohio, couldn't have been better. First off let me say this was my first time to the amazing Cedar Point, and actually my first time to any point east past Denver. I love the green country up there. Now on to my TR.
We arrived about 15 minutes before opening and joined a humongous crowd of teenagers, looks like end of school field trips, when we got in we walked over to my new #1 coaster, Millenium Force. I will give reviews on rides later in my TR. We then rode these rides in order: Mantis, Raptor, Magnum, Gemini, Mean Streak, lunch, a short break for picture taking and video taping the rides, Millenium Force, Blue Streak, Power Tower, Corkscrew, Iron Dragon, a train ride, Wicked Twister, Disaster Transport, Raptor and Millenium Force for one last ride.
About the park: it was beautiful, located on a peninsula makes it even better, it was very clean, the actual park was huge, loading times were fast, the ride operators were friendly and alive, a nice large selection of flat rides, (this park has everything), and last but not least the rides were fantastic. Now I have been to Magic Mountain as well, I don't know how to compare these two, both parks have their excellent rides and their not so good rides, Cedar Point has better operators, cleaner grounds, and it has a much better selection flat rides, on a little bit of a side note it was overwhelming walking into the section right before MF and Mantis, where there are about 6 coasters all in eyesight, it was like a rollercoaster heaven. I did however like the overall park feel of Magic Mountain a little more, it seems to have more themeing and diversity, it also has more trees, landscape, forest areas and so forth, all of which play a big role for me on how much I like a park. So the question arises what park I like more, the answer is I really don't know, it is too hard to say, I'll just say I am in love with both parks, and both parks are beautiful and exciting in their own ways. Now on to the coaster reviews. rating is 1-10
Millenium Force +10- this coaster is amazing, the first drop is simply the best moment I have ever had on any coaster, it took my breath away and actually forced me to scream, this ride rips, the no mid-course brakes is always a plus, the trains are great, they're very comfortable, no sides, comfortable lap bars. It really feels cool to raise your hands on this ride. It will be interesting to see if X will take this over to my #1 when I ride it in 2 weeks. Wait times were all under 1/2 hour for this machine.
Raptor +9- only my 3rd B&M inverted, awesome drop and inversions, loved it the whole way, the helix at the end is intense, especially in the feet. Not a good idea to hit this first, since its at the front of the park, I learned this the hard way as I waited over an hour to ride it, later there was no wait. I don't know if I like this or Batman and Top Gun better, this is longer, bigger, and faster, but the other two are more intense and don't light up, hmmm.. it's a tie.
Mantis +7- my third stand up, a little more headbanging action I was used to on a B&M, but not bad, very fun, I really love the last half of the ride, Riddler beats this though.p.s. what's with the trim on the middle of the first drop? not very bright. 10 minute wait
Magnum +8- great hyper with great airtime, it was rougher than I expected, but that doesn't bother me. Tunnels and the really add to this ride, as does the placement of the ride next to the lake. But the trains were a minus, they were a little uncomfortable, but the rest of the ride makes up for it. First drop seemed not that big after riding MF. No wait for this.
Gemini +6- It wasn't racing, which maybe could've gotten it a higher rating. Just a note, this thing is silent, maybe when I hear the loud creaking of the wood it adds to excitement of a coaster. The ride had some great drops and all, just too many slow down parts. Still fun. 5 minutes wait.
Mean Streak +6- I know this coaster gets a bad rep, but the sheer size and beauty make it better than what the actual riding is. It was however, better than I expected, the roughness wasn't as bad as people make it out to be, it has speed and it goes through itself which is a plus, but it has barely any airtime, and the trims practically kill the ride, still fun, 5 minutes wait.
Corkscrew +5- Nothing new, great bunny hop at the beginning, but it was too short and it gave me a mild headache. No wait time
Iron Dragon +5- too slow, it had its moments, but nothing to drool over, I like going through the trees and mist though. No wait time.
Blue Streak +7- very enjoyable out and back, great airtime and a good traditional style to it. Nothing negative to write about this, just fun. No wait time.
Wicked Twister +9- First off, walking up to this thing, the colors make this ride look like a giant toy. I love impulses, this was my second time on one, I love going back on the twisted spike, very intense and very high, I also love the que how it sits right next to the beach, fun, fun, fun. The wait was over an hour, since its new, and it broke down on us right before we got on, I had about a half hour to look at the ceiling of the staion covered with muffleheads (is that what they're called?)
Disaster Transport +6- I like dark rides, and I like this ride it has many surprises, it was better than what I expected, but it's too short and thay could've done better with the themeing. No wait.
Power Tower +7- We went on the drop side, I wish we would've went on the space shot side though, one drop side was closed making the line longer and slower. Like Supreme Scream, very high, lots of anticipation, and airtime. Wait was about 30 minutes.
The park closed at 8, and we left, I don't know if I'll ever be back, but most likely I will, I love this park too much, and I wish I lived closer to it than I do on the other side of the country.

X,DV,S:TE,RR,B:TR. You should do RR and B:TR multiple times the lines will be long eventually essprecially for RR, don't ride up front its better to get 3 to 4 walk on ride than 1 front row ride. same with B:TR, it will have a longer line later in the day but ride in the front then, B:TR's line moves quick as you might know. So now after B:TR you might want to ride S:TE agian or Ninja, is not go to Colossus and ride alot, unless you see from the lift hill Goliath has a short wait, take advantage of that. after that try Flashback, Viper, Reveloution. These rides have like no wait later in the day ( dunno about Viper now that X is right by it) Have fun!

Hey man. Wanna buy some weed? Crack? Freepass on Millennium Force? I got the hook up...
Great TR. I cannot believe you went on so many rides - I guess the crowds weren't that bad? Amazing. I agree MF made me scream too - it is a bit overwhelming.
And you are right about the trim down the first drop of Mantis - what is up with that?
