Clearing a Six Flags park for a new one

This will probably sound like a silly question, but since I am at the office (without my copy of RCT2 anywhere near me) and can't check this out for myself right now, I'll ask anyway:

Can you clear one of the Six Flags scenarios of all its rides , creating an empty patch of land, and then build your own park? The reasons I ask are because 1) The Six Flags parks that are included are pretty lame; 2) There seems to be a lot of available rides in those scenarios; 3) There is a lot of land and 4) Removing all of the rides should give you quite a bit of spending money, especially those pricey Six Flags coasters.

With money pumped into R&D, do most of the rides eventually become available in those scenarios?

Actually, rather than taking the time to clear out everything, there's a better way that offers even more flexibility. Open up the scenario editor and click on the little disk icon to load a landscape. Go to your scenario folder and pick one of the "build your own six flags" scenarios. Then just choose to set up the scenario however you want. This will give you not only the empty six flags lot, but allows you to choose exactly what rides will be available and how much money you have. If you still need more money, you can use the money cheat discussed in another thread

Just to answer your initial question though, yes you can clear everything if you want.*** This post was edited by Savaq on 10/25/2002. ***

Thanks for the idea!

I am allowed to pick a total of 16 rides and shops, correct? Once I do that and begin the scenario, putting money into R&D will still yield me more rides, correct?

No, no, no. You can have up to 128 rides/stalls available in the scenario. You select which rides and stalls you want available at the beginning, and which ones you want to have to be researched. You can have all of them available at the beginning if you want.

How is it possible to have all of them available at the beginning?
In the scenario editor, you'll eventually get to a window that lets you choose which rides are available at the start and which rides will be researched later. Just drag everything into the available at start box.
