Cinci paper describes battle for vacation dollars in Ohio

Posted | Contributed by THE BEASTmaster

The Cincinnati Enquirer has an article about the parks in Ohio and Kentucky competing for being the best in the region. It mentions Six Flags Worlds of Adventure's purchase of Sea World and the addition of X-Flight Flying Dutchman coaster.

Read the story from The Enquirer.

WARNING: LONG ARTICLE! On that note, I only read the first half. :) Jeez, sounds like a war's gonna happen. $9.6 billion turnover??? No wonder there's an explosion of new coasters.

To anyone who lives in the Midwest, you're so lucky to be able to hit all the parks in one go!

home park - Six Flags Great America

hmm..i could see six flags ohio possibly getting close to cp. The only thing is that cedar point has claim to faim w. it's records and also cedar point is almost more of a resort, which means easier accomadations for international tourists in ohio. Perhaps if six flags ohio gets some camping grounds and maybe a hotel i bet competition could be close. I can see many great coasters also in the future of ohio amusement parks and ohio is only about five hours away from where i live :)

SFWoA will have to have a great year just to beat there 42 percent growth from 1999, that was the largest in the USA with BGT coming in second.
