Sounds pretty interesting. Looks like we won't see to much improvement in graphics other than the rides and scenery itself.

Themeing on rides sounds great

This Season:
Flights on Air: 1
Escapes From Nemesis: 1
Drops into Oblivion: 1

I like what he had to say about the "guests". The AI processing for them if they were super intelligent would slow down the speed of the game. However, it would be nice to have them be a little more intelligent than the scenery they are looking at. Sounds like their I.Q.s may be raised a little in this version. You know... how to get from point A to point B by walking a straight line with out getting lost.

Looks like its still 2D.. im not surprised...

Hopefully there will be more options for the coasters then..

i could give examples, and ramble.. but im not going to

-----------------

I like the 2-D look and i'm glad their keeping it. He said the trains will be more detailed so that great news! I can't wait for a DEMO!!!!!

But he said the game wasn't done yet so we have a while to wait. I'm going to try and become a beta tester!

RESIDENT EVIL: BIOHAZARD! Scaring up some HELL only on the NINTENDO GAMECUBE!!!!!
Explains why i'm up at 4am in the morning. Too scaried to sleep!

That was a very interesting interview, from the looks of things though a lot of what we asked for such as the possibility of diagonal inversions probably won't happen due to the game engine being somewhat unchanged. The good news is that AI will have a slight improvement and I like the possiblity to edit scenery into the rides.I love how Sawyer finally referred to the thrill rides as "flat rides".
did anyone notice anything.. off with the trains in the pic? like.. perhaps.. one is running forwards, the other backwards? anyone?

-----------------
Texas Coasters... wow I'm lucky... IM me if you feel like talking about coasters.

Geez, nothing new at all in the screen shot. I got my hopes up.

With great power, comes great responsibility-Spiderman

you have no idea how releaved I am to know that this game will not end up looking like SimCoaster. The view and structure of that game was terrible. you couldnt see a coaster if it was too high! This game is gonna be great for a hardcore RCT player.

I didn't notice a thing different about the coaster in the screenshot. To me it looked like the steel twister from RCT and didn't feature any trains running backwards at all.
i hope the game allows for wider paths, maybe instead of building 2 side by side they should have a built in wider path
It will depend on just how much the guest (not to mention staff ) AI is improved.

Exactly. They were just teasing around. That was a screenshot from the original RCT game. Not an RCT2 screen.

Thats what I thought, kRaXLeRidAh. And when I noticed it was RCT 1 data there, all I could think of was that Davey and Goliath Moutain Dew commercial:

"We got hosed Tommy. We got hosed." :)

That commercial rocks.

You're free cheezy bread! Go! Go!

LOL! I love that commercial!

Snoopy Rocks! On Ice opens on June 22nd

Think they'll let me drive the Zamboni machine?
