Choppy Graphics

I have a Dell I bought in Feb. 2000, Windows 98, above & beyond system requirements. RCT worked beautifully on the computer until about 4 months ago, when the whole computer kind of "slowed down." The memory is fine, and I installed some more RAM memory, and that has done the trick with everything except RCT. RCT'S graphics are still horribly choppy, on a computer that once ran the game flawlessly. I got RCT2 the other day, hoping it would run the way RCT once did on my computer, but no such luck. The graphics are still extremely choppy. Any idea as to why this would happen?? I also went back to RCT1 and the graphics are still choppy as well. Thanks.

What resolution are you running at? Do you have anything running in the background?

that has happened to me, I usually ALT-CTRL-DEL all programs except my call manager for online and explorer, that usually speeds up everything :-D
