I saw that. Looks like the first post to his page mentioning it came in Tuesday evening.

Wow. Any details? I know he hadn't posted in a while. I always really liked him.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

Well, damn. I didn't know him personally, but I always enjoyed reading what he had to say.

His posts here have been really infrequent in recent years, but he was here a ton when we started back in 2000. I know I met him once at SFGAm, probably 15 years ago. I recall he had a young (at the time) daughter.

Wow, another one of the old-time regulars. It really makes you realize how long we've all been around, and reminds us that we're not invincible.

You're right, Josh.
It occurred to me a while back that the longer we live the more we should expect this to happen. Sometimes they're older, sometimes younger, and it always sucks.

My condolences to those that knew Scott from here and elsewhere, and especially to his family.

Wow. I remember the days when he was a mod here. I haven't met many people from the board, but briefly ran into Scott at SFGAm way back. My condolences to his family. RIP Scott

The trick was to surrender to the flow.

I never met him personally but definitely remember him with fondness as a constant presence "back in the day." Time is the worst.

I never met Scott either, but it always hurts when we lose one of our own. Hope there are a million kickass coasters where you are, Chitown. Rest in peace.

Sad. Godspeed Chitown.

Death makes many of us reflect on what we have and who we care about, and as an "old timer" I just want you all to know that I appreciate this site (which has been in my life for 17 years), Jeff and all who contribute and post to it.

I care about each of you—those on here and those who i know personally from these sites, so if something ever happens to me (and actually, I came pretty close to a head-on collision a few nights ago coming home from work), none of you need wonder.

Sorry to hear this. I never met him but we engaged plenty in the forums. Strange thing, this internet, where you can have "relationships" yet not be "close". Of course, I have personal contact with lots of folks that I'm not close with either for that matter. I don't know, it just feels weird when these things happen.

That's sad. Although I never knew him (or even recall any direct conversation with him in the forums) I always do think of him as one of the "formative" CB members. Even when he's not around or posting as much, he's still a big part of the community in my eyes.

Wow. Really sorry to hear. RIP, Chitown.

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

RIP Chitown. It's hard to believe how fast time flies by and when I met some of you at BeastBuzz or Boobuzz we were in our late 20's for BeastBuzz, and early 30's for Boobuzz.

Now I'm 44 and have to make a lot of life changes to stay healthy. I have high blood pressure and are pre diabetic. I quit smoking cigarettes two and a half years ago. Exercise 6 days a week. The older I get I have come to the realization that I want to live the longest and healthiest life that I can.

I want to be riding coasters in my 60's like some of the others that are on here.
