Chippewa Lake Photos

As we all know, Chippewa Lake Park in Medina, Ohio closed for the 1979 season. The park was left to rot with many rides still there.
I have been there in its closed state. (Not inside of course... thats Illegal)

My question is: Are there any photos of the park operating? I have seen every website there is on the rotting park.

Im looking for maps, pictures of the coaster, the layout of the rides, the ride list, etc.
Please Look through your family pictures. Let me know if you find anything. Thanks!

There is one site that has both operating and defunct photos along with brochures, postcards, etc. Sorry, but I can't think of the name, though. I've been there more than once and I think I found the link through searching Yahoo! actually.
I think this may be the site you are looking for... http://www.defunctparks.com

I hope this is the one.

Defunct parks is one of those sites that show a decent story on the parks, and show a little history and sometimes shows the current state, but they really are not any help in what I need.

Thanks! Keep looking guys and gals!
Did you even take a glance at the site? There's about 20 pics of the park and a descrptive essay of their visit. Check it out if you haven't already.

I am looking for "operating" pictures, and how the park appeared in the 1970's.

There is a link from that site that shows a few picts of the park operating, but I am looking for a lot more, and from personal collections. :)
It's very difficult to find photos of defunct parks when they were still in operation. I've been searching for pictures of Chippewa on the internet for a while now and I keep going in circles. There a few black and white pictures here: http://junior.apk.net/~cindi/index5.htm
not the best but there is a neat arial shot and one of the ballroom in winter.

I remember it took years to find good pictures of Bertrand Island. Very thankful for the recent book and video. *** This post was edited by millrace on 3/21/2001. ***

There is also a Chippewa Lake Yahoo Group with a couple pictures of the park operating (including a cool night shot.
