Chippewa Lake Park looking for new life

This would be a great traditional addition to Ohio. Here's to hoping they can find the backing they need to get things started.

I don't see what the point would be. The surrounding area is a slum, the remaining rides would blow over in a stiff breeze and there are virtually no usable buildings there anymore. Then add to the fact that the local infrastructure can't accomodate it, and there's no market for another amusement park when they've got two gigantic parks near by. There's really nothing left to save.

I've always been fascinated by the park, but the unfortunate reality is that all of the good intentions and wishful thinking in the world won't do anything for that place. As far as I'm converned, it has already gone the way of Euclid Beach and such.

It's not going to happen...ever. The best hope for "preserving" Chippewa would to get some park to buy the tumble bug, which is in reasonable shape. (Holiday World? Lake Compounce?)
