Chiller & SFGAd being removed.

I was talking to the operator of the chiller and he said Robin would be coming back in 3 weeks but that was in April. I have heard many people and park employes looking at the Chiller and talking about removing it. I know the coaster is very popular and new but thats what employees are saying. Does anyone know if Robin is coming back this season or next and if its this one please tell me when.

Why dont you ask the park, wouldnt they know first hand?

Employees don't typically know anything official before the public does, it's just the same rumors that everyone gets ahold of. Of course, everyone takes the more seriously, because they assume that hey, you work there, you must know, but that just isn't the case. Like Bernard said, contact the park and see what they say.

When I went to SFGAdv 2 weeks ago Batman was running but Robun wasn't. I heard they're putting lapbars on Robin and then when they reopen Robin they will close Batman and put lapbars on Batman. The Chiller would be fun with lapbars.

Like Mr. Freeze, Chiller's Batman was horribly rough. The "lapbar treatment" to the FoFs made an incredible difference. I can only hope that the other Premiere rides get moved to just lapbars.

I think its fun with OTSR because on the Batman side they are so soft it doesnt hurt. Thats what premier also did with Jokers Jinx,Mr Freeze,Poltrigeist,Speed The Ride and Superman The Ride.

So does anyone know when Robins open.
And the Batman side being closed will suck it will probably be down most of 2002 so no dueling until 2003.

These things CAN be done during offseasons.

why is that people are willing to believe second hand info from ride ops, but wont ask the parent company about the future status on their favorite rides/coaster designers?

MedusaFanatic...there was never and never will be any dueling on Chiller. The ride sucks so much energy during a single launch that launching both would most likely cause Movietown to go out of power! The tour guide during Coaster Celebration said that one launch sucks enough power to power 10 homes for 1 month each!!!

Hey Medusafanatic, what do you mean the OTSR's on Batman don't bang you up. They banged me up pretty good.

Until we hear something official, any speculation about Chiller being removed is just that, speculation. Same with it getting the lapbar treatment (although that seems more likely).

Either way, this topic has run its course.
