Check this out! Awesome wood coaster model

Wednesday, August 8, 2001 8:42 PM
The guy worked on this thing for 22 years it says. That is amazing. It is a wood out and back that is 40 ft. end to end. He even has little people that go on it. It was for sale, but it says it was sold. Here's the link: http://www.inrev.com/rollercoaster/

It's a wroking wooden model of a coaster with real trains (miniature). I can say that from not even looking at it. :) I saw it a while ago. That's one of the things that inspired me to start my own model...

Two things:

1) Do you think this guy ever let's hampsters or mice ride this thing ? ;)

2) He should seriously seek getting this thing built for real - as in life size, actual coaster. Being the "Minnesota Avalanche", it should naturally be built at Valleyfair! - especially since they need a good, large wooden coaster .

I have seen that same model at our old science museum.I was going there on like a 5th grade field trip. I was getting very board so i went to the top floor and there it was tucked back in the corner.I was amazed by it and stood by it and watched it for the rest of the trip i left my group to be with the coaster. I said to my self this would be a perfect wooden coaster for Valleyfair and i hope they get it.
