* CAA had a discounted 3-day Universal pass available year-round for $111 plus tax. (I expect AAA offices to offer the same pass.) Unused days could be used anytime within 5 years.
* Universal online had a 5-day pass for $119 plus tax, but it might be only for a limited time. (Read the fine-print before you buy.) This pass is for 5 consecutive days -- no saving days for another trip.
In late January, we planned to spend 4 consecutive days at Universal, so I bought the 5-day passes for our entire party. It was very fast and efficient. I bought them the day before we flew to Florida. On the first day, I just swiped my credit card at the kiosk at the front gate and entered my online purchase password, and the machine spit out credit-card sized passes for our entire party. It took longer to go through security and bag-search than to get our passes.
