Yep. That's right. After nearly a year of writing, I've birthed a new book called..."Charmland".
Before anybody rolls their eyes, it doesn't have anything to do with the quaint, little park we've come to know and love on this site. Except for the shared name, obviously.
The book is a young adult fantasy novel, set in a park that may seem vaguely familiar to a few enthusiasts. It's the story of a thirteen-year-old girl who, one summer, stumbles on a very odd amusement park. Rides are more than what they appear. Strange visitors lurk the midways. Danger waits in every entrance queue.
That's the rough pitch, at any rate.
I'm currently presenting the story to a few beta readers, for their opinions and literary assessments, before advancing it to agents. In passing, I thought I might mention it to Coasterbuzzers, in case a few enthusiasts might like to take the book for a spin for fun.
