Charles Dickens park announced in Great Britain

A theme park based on the life and work of author Charles Dickens is to be built in Britain, one of the men behind "Dickensworld" said Thursday. The $113 million project will recreate the Victorian era when young children worked in sweatshops, Britain ruled over a vast empire and Dickens penned classic works like "Bleak House" and "The Pickwick Papers."

There's a joke here somewhere about a really boring ride that lasts for weeks on end, but I can't quite get there. Ah well...
There is something ironic about $113 million being invested into the spirit of Dickens. Looks like Capitalism got that last laugh after all.

I would have posted earlier, but I've been busy finalizing my financial packages for Bronteworld, Twainland, and the Magical World of Danielle Steel.
I'll be having "great expectations" for this one. ;)
You better donĀ“t get hungry there.

"I want more soup!"

And on a sad note, it was announced today that Richard Simmons, the infamous aerobics and weight loss guru has decided to pull the plug on "Simmonsland", his pet theme park project, due to his inability to secure funding. Simmons was quoted as saying "You go girl!" over and over while eating a box of creme-filled donuts. ;)
I thought this was just an ARN&R joke gone terribly wrong...wow, it looks now like it's not...
I thought it ironic that part of the $113 million would be spent to build sweatshops. Cheerio!
This sounds dumb unless they actually build some cool stuff.

They have to build the sweatshops, how else are you supposed to make your own souvenir t-shirt (and 100 more to pay for parking). ;)
