Kids won't go on a flying coaster. Thats a little too intense....
But anyway, Jaguar is just perfect the way it is. Its a good introductory coaster that the younger ones seem to really have fun on. Put it this way: Jaguar could be winning over new generations of enthusiasts!
I disagree with the point that KBF needs another family coaster. They have timberline twister and jaguar. Seeing that Knotts only has 6 coasters total, its pretty good that 2 of them are for the kids.
Look at Magic Mountain, they have two kiddie coasters and Goldrusher (good for the kids) and they have 15 coasters!

I say leave Jaguar as is. I was just at the park today and kids still love the ride. It is still a hit. Also its a nice relaxing ride for me after walking around for a while.
I don't understand why people want just more huge coasters, not even caring about the different audiences and geusts. I was around Fiesta Village a lot today and didn't see any kids sad because they couldn't ride Jaguar. There are plenty of other things they can do.
"Up....a height limit got raised....lets tear it down and build a HUGE floorless that will fit our needs...yup."
If Perilous Plunge got a new height limit when it re-opened...would you go "now all the shorter people who wanted to ride can't, let's tear it down and build a huge racing flying coaster!"?
It's not that sfmmrider doesn't care about kiddies, but if the height for Jaguar is going to be raised out of their reach, you might as well replace with something more challenging....or something else they can ride.
This is surprising, seeing that the first thing CF did when assuming management of KCS-MOA was drop Ripsaw's (think Jaguar knockoff) height requirement 6 inches.
-'Playa
Why spend that much money when you already have a ride that fit's the area. Why not purchase new rolling stock that would accomodate kids above 42" safely?
When I was that height, I used to ride the Whizzer which was a bot more intense than the Jaguar.

48 inches for that thing, wow. MF at cedar point has a 48 inch height requirement and that thing is a good 250 ft. taller.
OK, I've just gotten back from KBF like 2 hrs. ago and I've looked over what has been said bout el Jaguar. I think that they SHOULD change it to the point to where the ride isn't up one lift down a drop a turn then another lift hill. I mean, it is a "Junior" coaster, but I think that it should be, more exciting, throw in a good airtime hill or a good turn or a helix, please. I mean, you can go on Ghostrider for 48!
OH BTW: Someone threw up on Ghostrider today Xcel looks AWSOME Boomerang was SMOOTH and Monte looks UGLY!
Thats it for now. L8 and Peace all!

Hehehehe, Mr. X, me and you have exact opposite opinions on most KBF stuff. I was there on Sunday and thought Monte was sweet looking, Boomer was a little rough (especially front row).
As for Jaguar the ride has one heck of an awesome ending helix, does have a good airtime hill, and is a great junior coaster. The ride goes everywhere twisting and turning.
I'd hate to see Jaguar replaced by anything anytime soon.

Well, if you go as much as I do, A) You get used to the Boomer and start countering the manuvers it does[I also sit in the front, only place with leg room] B) Monte will take A LONG time for me to get used to. Also, I only think they need to just make it one lift hill and have it still go thru everything.
OH YEAH i forgot CAL OSHA said put OTSRs on the PLUNG! NOOOOO!

I don't think Cal OSHA said anything of the sort. They said make it safer, but said nothing specific on how that was to be done.
Anyway, I don't like Monte's station. The track and suppourts are fine, but that NEON station is just disgusting! I should be wearing sunglasses in there. ;)
The point is that just because Jaguar and Ghostrider have the same height requirement doesn't mean that every kid tall enough to go on Jaguar will like Ghostrider.
And like I said earlier, out of KBF's 6 coasters, 2 are kid-friendly. SFMM has 15 coasters. 3 are kid friendly. (Goldrusher, Canyon Blaster and Goliath Jr.)

Does anyone know the fire effects are no longer a part of Jaguar? I thought that enhanced the ride SO much.
Jaguar is quite a fun family ride and I think the height limit will come down again once the heat is off Knott's and Cedar Fair.

I love those fire effects. It does a lot for the ride. But I have not seen it for many many months.
I know the kids don't really like the fire, and it makes everyone in fiesta plaza jump, but I don't see this as a reason that they would keep it off.
