CF's monopoly of Northern Ohio and Michigan market.

Well, as long as those renegades at Memphis Kiddie Park maintain their independence, CF will continue to face stiff competition in their bid for a Northern Ohio monopoly. And don't forget Erieview over there at Geneva-on-the-Lake. Are their flyers snappable?
Slightly off topic, but since it was brought up earlier....

Would people recommend for a Mid-Michigander making the drive out to Canada's Wonderland, and if so, how long would you guess it would be? Thanks!

PCW doesn't have any specific coasters that will blow you away. That being said, without hesitation I'd recommend making the drive.

Of course, IB gets that level of praise from me as well, but there IS that one *standout ride* at IB. Wow!

..and if you're in Northeastern Ohio, Kennywood is close by, as well as several smaller W PA parks that could use your business...

Yep...i live in NE Ohio, and I'm not going to ANY CF owned parks in 2005, after 29 visits to SFo/SFWoA/GLP in the past 4 years! They don't have a monopoly, they just own the 2 largest parks in NE Ohio. There is so much more around if you just look. Pioneer Waterland (Chardon, OH) , Conneaut Lake Park & Waterpark (Meadville,PA), WaldameerPark/WaterWorld (Erie, PA), Kennywood (West Mifflin, PA) , YellowDuck Waterpark (Canfield, OH) are just a few parks and waterpark alternatives that are smaller than CF's, but they also allow you to take your own picnic into the park, and the price is always less than that of CF.

AAA has an "open" version of their on-line triptik (no AAA membership required), and it knows how to route over canadian highways. It also knows that PCW is a "Key Attraction", so you can plug your address in as the start point, PCW as the end, and it will route you. From my house, it lists the time as just over 4.5 hours, crossing the border at Sarnia

Thanks for the help, and the link! :)
I would say that MA was already lost in the shuffle. Although I am not holding my breath, MA has to get something big before I die. Yeah right...who am I kidding!! I don't know why Roger Jourden listened to Dick Kinzel when he said that CF would go ahead with the Jourden's plan for a steel coaster. Oh well Dick got what he wanted and hey he wasn't bound to that verbal crap.
