well Steve, i know you can GET additional benefits with the CP pass. the Joe Cool club is one, where you can get in the park 30 min ahead of the scheduled opening time to ride MF and WT (correct me if im wrong CPers)....the Joe Cool option is not available with other CF passes. also, you should think about where you'll be using the pass more....Cedar Fair requires that you go to Guest Relations to get a ticket to the park if it is not your home park. so you if you will be going to CP the most, you may want a CP pass, so you dont have to go to GR everytime you go to the park. also, when you purchase parking passes, you can only get those for your respective home park, so that plays a factor as well...hope all that helps...:)
Tim...who is SO thankful that SF passes work at any SF park, without having to get a ticket :) this is helpful when you visit four of their parks in one season :)

proud PKD homer :)
(currently a Dorney Park homer though...thanks to college:))
If CP is your home park, that's where I'd get the passes if you are interested in the parking pass and Joe Cool. A note about JC, tho. If you stay at a CP hotel, you get the same ERT benefits, at least in the morning. They mentioned on their website that JC is going to include night ERT as well and I'm not sure if that is included for hotel guests. Joe Cool also gives pricing discounts on food and at some of the gift shops..
the downside is you won't have the pass in time for Solace at KBF because CP won't be processing until mid to late April.
Since I'm a Michigandar, I get the CP pass. Last year I used it at Michigan's Adventure twice. It took me less time to get my ticket at GR than it did for my friends to purchase theirs when I went for Kara's 1000th.
I also plan to get a SF pass this year and hitting SFGAm for Cbuzzcon and SFWoA for the first time.
