Celebrities & Coasters

I was just watching Jay Leno tonight, "Antonio Banderas" is apparently a big rollercoaster nut, they showed him his wife and kids on the back row of Riddlers Revenge.

When I was at SFMM this year, some girls told me they saw "Brandy" in line for the viper. THey said "sing for us Brandy" and she did.

And lest us not forget the infamous "Fabio" sighting on Apollo's Chariot I think it was. although I hardly consider him a celeb.

Anyone else have any stories of celebrity sightings on coasters?

No, but Brandy came to my school to give a speech back when "Baby baby baby" was out. It was cool. Sorry, i'm off topic.

Fabio is a celeb. His "I can't believe it's butter" commercials are awesome.

in a magazine I saw David Arquette on Goliath, and some soap stars on medusa at sfgadv. But I never had a sighting at a park.

I saw Nelly riding the go-karts at SFStL...not a coaster, but a ride nonetheless.:)

One time I went to Michigan's Adventure one Saturday and the following Monday. In the papers on Monday it said Tim Allen came to ride Shivering Timbers that Sunday...bummer.

Colby from Survivor was at the grand opening of Cheetah at Wild Adventures in Valdosta, Ga. I can't say I consider him a celeb, but some do I'm sure and it WAS the opening of the ride, June 16. As for Fabio, after his "experience", I'd say he's a celeb, among coasterfolks at least, hehe. Sorry to laugh, chuckle, snort, guffaw, etc.

in IOA i was next in line for JP River Adventure and r kelly went in the boat in front of us. the girls behind us went crazy and started taking pictures and stuff but i just stood and stared :) i was jealous too 'cuz when the ride ended, we sat about 2 minutes just waiting to get off, and then the boat in front of us launched again, r kelly got to go twice without waiting in line!

I have a magazine from when Princess Diana died and it shows her and one of her sons riding Nemesis. Another photo shows Diana with both of her sons on a log flume somewhere.

Colby from Survivor was also at the opening for Batwing.

I love roller coasters

Marilyn "Mad Dog" Hershey, from Survivor opened the new Nickelodeon Central rides at Paramount`s Kings Island. Also, talk show host Montel Williams, favorite theme park (I believe) is Paramount`s Kings Island. He was at the park riding the Beast when they anounced Son of Beast, and is even on QTV at the park.

I saw Nsync riding Montu in a magazine.I saw Destiny's Child riding a huss top spin on TV.

O_O...Mesa lub Destiny's Child! O_O Well, I've never seen him, but Mich Foley is coming to PKD to give autographs and I'm sure check out HSXLC if he can fit. (=/) I saw someone that looked like him, so maybe it was. =/

Favorite Coaster: Alpengeist!

Lance and Joey from NSYNC last year at Sky Screamer when I was working at MGM Grand Adventures. I was a ride lead that day so I had pretty much free range. It was also the day of the Britney Spears concert at the arena so during break we snuck in to watch sound check.

Also Marc Anthonty, Harrison Ford, and a few other famous peeps have visited MGM Grand Adventures now known as the Park at MGM Grand.

I saw WWF wrestler Mick Foley at Kennywood last year. I wouldn't consider him a celebrity, but I'm sure many other people do, judging by the big crowd surrounding him.
