CedarPoint Strategies

Im going to Cedar Point in may and it will be my first time.  Can anybody give me a good strategy of which coasters I should go to first and where they are?  I want to ride Wicked Twister first or second depending on where it is located in the park.  Is Millenium Force close to the entrance?

Try Flight of Fear version 2.0: It's great!

Thank you so much.
Remember, however, that you will have to slightly modify you strategy with the addition of Wicked Twister.

Very true. I've gotta rewrite that (and a lot of other stuff) when I rebuild that site. Some of it is now going on 4 (!) years old.

When do you plan on rebuilding the site?
Well, if it aint broke, don't fix it! It may be old, but it's definitely served its purpose, very well I might add. Sure it could use a little sprucing up, but don't get too stressed out if you don't have too. Your spare time is sparse, I imagine.

Good advice for the 2001 season (before Wicked Twister) would have been to start your day at the Marina gate and sprint to Millennium Force.  You should be on within 20 minutes if you hustle.  After that, hit Mantis (possibly Iron Dragin too) and then go straight to the back of the park and hit Magnum, Gemini, Mean Streak, Mine Ride, etc.  It takes well over an hour for crowds to become distributed throughout the park and make their way to the back of the park.  Go for Raptor in the late afternoon or early evening.  Magnum usually has short lines at the end of the night so its possible to marathon if you want.  Another thing to keep in mind is that Mantis usually has short nights at night so if you skip it in the morning because you spent longer than expected at MF, you can always hit it at around 10PM when the lazer show starts.  If you want another MF ride, jump in line right before they close the line.  I always suggest riding it first and last (after the park has closed) so you don't waste too much of your day standing in line for it.
