Cedar Po!nt 2003 Recreation

hey whats up, im new here, but ive been playin RCT for about 5 years, and im a former member of RCT Station, and ive decided to recreate Cedar Point in RCT. Im going to make everything including buildings and all the rides and I am really big on landscape, so you will see alot of landscaping. Im going to try to make it as perfect as I can, I go to Cedar Point like every 2 weeks so I am still finding things I forgot in my CP creation. It is currently only 10% complete, so far I am up to the Midway Market on the Raptor side of the Midway. I have added various amts of trees so, it will be a good landscaped park, just how CP is in real life. I am now on Raptor, which is quite confusing because of the station b/c it is diagonal requires lots of time and hard work.....Meanwhile here are some screens.....hope ya enjoy them, Thanks....

good luck! although only 10% is done, it looks like it'll be VERY detailed. I hope you have a big map! On mine I had to squeeze in Frontiertown.

I am probably going to use 2 maps for Cedar Point, you cant possibly fit all the rides and scenery into 1 tight cramped park....I want the viewers to actually feel like their in Cedar Point, ive seen many recreations, and in my mind they aren't good enough. They are good ones indeed, but they just don't fit my taste. Raptor and Blue Streak and that section of the park should be done in about 2 to 3 weeks. I will take a trip up to Cedar Point this tuesday, and again on the 23rd. That will be my 4th time already this season that I visited the park. Thanks for the comments.

How cool! While walking around there yesterday, I was thinking that I wanted to try to build a Cedar Point for RCT. You're blowing away even the most basic of my dreams. lol

hey whats up peoples, just another update:

I have finally finished Raptor, and to my eyes, it looks pretty damn good :) At first I had a little trouble with the block brakes by the cobra roll, but it all turned out to be fine. It goes a little slow by the corkscrew into the final helix, but with people onboard, it will roar through the corkscrew into the helix. One thing I had to change is where the exit goes, because normally it goes to the back of the station and comes out by the Raptor Hotshots, but in this case, it wouldn't so I had to put the exit before the station. If you are confused just look in the pictures below. The coaster did well on ratings, without any scenery so far. Here are more pictures- Enjoy

The scenery is surely not done yet!! lol, I still have lots more to put in, including Silver Dollar Cafe, and the "bullpen" queue of Raptor. Hope you are excited about this park as I am. Enjoy!

Hey, I think I do a nice job on the landscape... and Cedar Point does have alot of trees, I been there too many times, trust me. My brother works up there at Soak City selling Dippin' Dots, so I am at the park frequently and I can tell you its covered with trees.

Near the back, but not in the picnic shelter area. They have some, but its not a forest up there.

Nothin new to report here, just got done with the Burger Patio and heading on to the Cadillac Cars.

Wow, awesome work! Can't wait to see the next update! 2 questions though.

1. Will this re-creation need WW?

2. Are you going to put a working TTD?(I hate seeing CP re-creations with non working TTD's.)

unfortuanately yes it will need WW, just borrow a copy off of your friend since it DOESNT need the disk to operate.

I am going to try to have a working Top Thrill Dragster ©, complete with the Racing themed station, and all of the nice little extras. Hope you enjoy it when it comes out.....

I am still working out the kinks on Raptors block brakes.....down anyone have a clue where they are at?...one is at the brake run at the end naturally, and the other is on the brake run after the cobra roll right??

UPDATE: Finished with Silver Dollar Cafe', Halted construction on Caddy Cars, going to work on Calypso, and Blue Streak and the defunct Pirate Ride building 2marrow after I get home from Cedar Point.

Why yes I do know where Raptor's block brakes are! :-) The 5 blocks are as follows: Station, Lift, Block Brake after helix out of the cobra roll, two on the runway leading back to the station. The first is near the end of the runway. Just a note, there is also a set of brakes before the first block brake on the runway. The second block brake on the runway is right before the station. Good luck on the recreation. I have a pretty decent one as well. I will put a link to it at the bottom of the post. It doesnt' have the platforms under the runway or block brake yet, and only one photo. Oh and btw, there is no platform under the turn out of the station, just the straight section of track before the lift.

Hey whats up? Nothin new, just I kind of rushed on Blue Streak and I am seeing how you guys like it or not. I know the first 2 hills are small on Blue Streak and then the big hill is the 3rd one then the turnaround. Here is a picture :

I did build the old Pirate Ride building which houses nothing, and Silver Dollar Cafe. I might want to add some trees for decoration to the area where blue streak stands because it is a huge area of walking space, maybe some trees and flowers would look nice. I will build the station for Blue Streak, so it will be covered. Next up is Calypso and the Turnpike Cars then the Caddy Cars.

I do not know where I am going to end the first map, I still have a huge space to fill in so i might make at least till the wildcat and then stop for the lower half of the park. Remember I am making this over 2 maps. I still have the other side of the midway to go and the marina and the Cedars Employee Hotel. Good day everyone.

Umm...I don't have a lot of friends who play RCT2 so I can't do that :( But I can't wait to see the final product.

Hey, how's the park coming?

well i have been very busy recently, but i managed to get the final product of Blue Streak done, it looks pretty impressive. I am now working on Calypso and the Turnpike Cars, and I am heading up to Cedar Point once again on Monday.

The park is coming along very nicely, and I am taking my time, for this great recreation. I will try to have pictures this weekend, If i can get around to it. Thanks
