I miss the western cruise. This fellow is actually recreating the original ride? How on earth is he doing that?

I worked at Paddlewheel excursions for almost all of the '99 season and for a few days in '00. I remember the sighs the guests would make after I told a really stupid joke. After 5 or 10 really stupid jokes, they couldn't help but laugh, not because the jokes were funny but because somebody was accually telling in the first place. I had many fans that year that would reride over and over and I would wonder why they were wasting thier time on this silly ride when we have so many coasters and other attractions?

It was a lot of hard work being a captian on PWE and I would never work there for a whole season again but I will always remember it fondly for the fun job it was.

I don't get it, how was the South Shore turned into an attraction? Is it still there today?
