Cedar Point's CoasterMania?

What is it like? Are there long lines? What Rides are open? How much does it cost? For the one trip to Cedar Point this year is it worth going to CoasterMania?

When is it?

What Rides are open?

7:30am-10:30am: ERT on Power Tower, Mantis, Raptor, and Blue Streak

10:30pm-12:30am: ERT on Magnum.

11:00pm-1am: ERT on Millennium Force and Wicked Twister.

There is also a free lunch and Q&A with Dick Kinzel. Not sure on the times.

You decide if its worth it. :)

Anyone who is affiliated with a Coaster Club can get in. Don't know about guests.

Coastermania is the most heavily attended coaster enthusiast event anywhere. The attendance the last few years has been in the 1500-2000+ range and I wouldn't expect that to dip this one with the new WT.

Only card carrying members of recognized coaster clubs can get in (though they're allowed 1 guest which is down from the normal up to 3 guests, perhaps this'll drop attendance levels?) and I wouldn't exactly call the ERT ERT (since the lines are usually about as long as they are during the day...) but for the price you really can't beat it, basically you're paying $10 less for 4 hours more time in the park along with a free lunch and souvenir button.

Dick Kinzel is speaking from 12-1 and Lunch is from 2-3:30.

Consider the "ERT" to be EXTENDED Ride Time (1 am?!?), instead of Exclusive Ride Time, and all is well with the world.

The morning ERT is from 7:30 - 9:30 am, not 10:30.

Skip the lunch that they give you..., pack your own food, or think of something else because... the food at the picnis is... yuck.

How do they recognize guests? I realize that the guest will be with the club member, but what keeps people from "trading guests" while already in the park?

Last year's picnic was awful. Apart from last year, the CoasterMania meal has generally been hot dogs, chicken, baked beans, chips, and Potato Salad Surprise*. Usually decent. Last year it was basically hot dogs and chips and Surprise! No potato salad!

Note that vegetarian options may not be available due to the mayfly hatching season.
