Contract talks broke down on Friday, according to striking workers in the Local 480 Laborers union out on the picket against Cedar Point. The park says that it accepted an agreement proposed by the union.

I know one person in particular that has been in the business his entire adult life that preferred to hire people that had mechanical maintenance experience outside of he business, and do the "finish" education himself. This way he avoided anyone with "old habits" that he didn't agree with. He was a licensed mechanical engineer, and had experience in both the management end of the business as well as park maintenance. He has recently sold the last of the businesses that he was involved in and completely retired.
