I'm going to the Point for the fist time at the end of August, and I want to know how big the line is for MF after the "running of the bulls". I'll most likely walk to the ride with my party, so will the line be too long by the time we get there? Or should we save it for the end of the day and go on another ride? Any help would be appreciated.
I wouldn't run to MF unless you are really one of the first out of the gate. If you get there really early and then you can run, I suggest going to Magnum and getting several walk on rides!

I ran to MF when the gates opened one day. It was so much fun. If I were you, I WOULD RUN MY "tail" off (knowing this is a "family" site, I got to keep it clean).

SFGAm Trip - July 13-17, 2001
I wuld head for the Raptor then go to the Mantis then work my way back to the front of the park by going on the Mean Streak or Disaster Trasnport next. Then go to the Gemini and Magnum. Then head to the other end of the park by riding the ones you didnt on the way. Then after you are done with all of the coasters get in line for the millenium. After that do whatever you want but i recomend riding the millenium,Magnum,Raptor, Mantis, or one of the wood coasters at night.Try to ride a couple of those that have short lines then you can get in line for the Magnum or Millenium at the end and ride 1 of them at night. THere are a lot of diffenent things you can do but i'm goign to try this the next time I go to the Point becuase i think it would work the best

Cedar Point, doesn't get any better then that:)
If you are going to participate in the "Running of the Bulls" then make sure you go in the marina gate so that you will be right next to millennium force when you walk in. If you don't want to participate in "Running of the Bulls", then park at soak city and go to Magnum first. You will probably be able to ride it 5 or 6 times in the first hour.

Cedar Point! The Greatest Place on Earth!
Wait an hour or two to go on MF. ride everything else in the back while everyone dashed for MF. I ran to MF and waited 45 minutes, then i walked on every other ride back there. At about 12 there is a short line for MF because everyone has been on it and wants to ride evrything else. When i came back it was a 5-10 minute wait and i got 10 rides in an hour, however this was a school day (whole different funny story) on May 11 so i guess i was lucky!

HurricaneGeauga- Just in case
I know they said that on TV, but both times I went last season, my party was the only one running! I guess we were the only bulls ;).

Best Steel: MF @ Cedar Point
Best Woodie: The Beast @ PKI
Best Park: IOA!
Get to the Point, Cedar Point!
Go straight to MF!! If you don't and it is a nice day than you will only get about one or two rides on and have to wait 3 hours for it later in the day!! MF runs early( as soon as they open the gates usually which is at 9) so be at the gate no later than 8:45. If there happen to be many people waiting than you cannot afford to walk, you must run if you want to get on early. After MF most rides are still mostly 1 train waits!! So if you run to MF you won't miss other rides. Note that this is only my opinion, do what you want.

"Airtime, how sweet it is!"
All I can say is this for the "running of the bulls":
OH HELL YEAH!!!
I went twice last year (2-day pass). Each day, I made sure I got there early enough to get towards the front of the line.
Once they let those ropes down, I ran like hell with my lil brother, and I wasn't alone. Everyone else was running as if their life was depending on it!!!
Even though as fast as I ran, the line was still pretty big. You gotta be "The Flash" to make it there nearly first!!!
Even so, if you run there fast enough... you should have no longer than a 20 minute wait after the coaster opens!(Plus they usually open Millennium Force early to accommodiate the MANY more riders)

The Great Escape... Soon to become Six Flags Adirondack Escape!!!
Don't take part in running of the bulls! Trust me I have visited the park about 10 times this year. I say hit Power Tower, Magnum, Gemini and head around to the back of the park. you will find these rides almost empty. When if you don't run fast you could have a hour long line at Millennium Force... even if you are at the front of the pack because Cedar Point has several entrance gates.

Why run to Magnum? The wait is 15 mins during a weekday. MF's wait is about 1 hour 15 mins on a weekday.

I say run. Just make sure you don't get stuck by the railway crossing.
Anyone at Coastermania remember how funny it was to see all those people running to MF, only to find 2000 enthusiasts already in line!

Exactly how does one get to the marina gate that's closer to MF than the front entrance? Is this marina gate always open?
Thanks.
Front Gates are closer to Millennium Force. I always hit Millennium Force before the park opens. Then I ride it about 10 to 15 times in the morning when it is the slowest before the park gets more buisy, then I head to Mantis & Mean Streak.

Because I rarely encounter 15 minute waits on Magnum when i am there.
