Cedar Point Tuesday June 5th

Yesterday I went to Cedar Point on a church trip. It was my first trip to Cedar Point in about 10 years. It was awesome! I had never had this much fun in my whole life!

Due to some delays we got to the park at about noon. We headed to the closest ride from the entrance, Raptor! I was surprised that it would turn out to be our longest wait of the day. It was about an hour. Now I know why it is a top 10 ride. It was one of the best rides I had ever ridden. We also rode it in the rain. We got on just in time They closed it right after we got off.

The rain stopped soon after and we walked over towards Blue Streak and there wasnt anyone in line. Its a nice little woodie. you can also put your hands up the whole way.

We walked over to Power Tower. It was also basicly a walk-on ride. Awesome ride! we rode it shooting up.

After some realy good french fries we went to the Iron Dragon. It wasnt as fast as Top Gun but It gave an great adventure.

Then we stood in line for about 45 minnutes for Mantis. While standin inline we knew what our next ride would have to be. But ill save that for later. Anyways Mantis what a great ride! A huge stand-up. Man what a ride!

Next we met our biggest challenge ever Millennium Force. It was a huge surprise to me that we only waited a half hour to ride it. This ride left me speacless. Awesome!!!! I got a ton of airtime on thet second hill. This brings me to another thing. The ride opps at Cedar Point are great. They ask you, How was your ride and they tell you all of the stats and everything.

After a slow down we took a stroll on the mine ride and gemini. I was on the red we won.

Then we figured that magnum would be our last ride of they day. We were wrong because it was also a walk-on. We did have to wait for the front seat though lol. I can also see why this is a number 1 coaster. Very fast and exciting. Lots and lots of airtime on the second half of the ride.

We still had about 45 minnutes left. With how short the lines had been all day we decided we could squeze in 1 more ride. It would be the ride that most like to call pain! For those of you who dont abla thats Mean Streak. As you may have guessed it it was also a walk-on It realy wasnt that bumpy accept for when it went inside of itself. Even then it wasnt that bad. It was longer than i expected as well.

That had to have been the funnest time of my life!! By far!! Thank you Cedar Point!!!
Sounds like yet another slow day at the Point. This rain sure is keeping everyone away! Great to hear you had a nice time!

"If everything seems undercontrol, you're not going fast enough!"
Sure the ride ops ask you how your ride was, but if they didn't do you think they'd be employed long?
Probobly not~lol.
The ride ops at CP are generally in a good mood, but courtesy is one of the Cedar Fair cornerstones. would you rather have disinterested, impersonal ride ops like WoA?
I read this TR aboot 3 times. In 6 days, I will be making my maiden voyage to Cedar Point this year for the third annual CoasterCrew at the Point Day. I am getting soooo pumped as are the other three. What's #1 on my list to do next Wednesday? Riding Woodstock. No joke, I have not ridden it in all my times to The Point!

OK 2Hostyk-Raptor bashing again??? ;)
Thats MY baby you're referring to!!!
From a CP ride op (Raptor-gasp what a shocker)
we are not required to ask "how was your flight" in our spiel, as a matter of fact I would totally skip it based on the guests. The only time I would use it would be when there was some of my CP buds on the train because I knew they would hoot and holler like crazy. In our spiels we can improv as much as we want-the most important thing we HAVE to say is the "secure all loose articles...and keep hands arms legs inside at all times..blah blah"
I do not think any ride op would lose their job if they didnt live up to someones expectation on the spiels.
None the less son of beast glad you had a blast. CP rules (and so does Raptor) even in the rain!

I worded it wrong. We will be at The Force first and Magnum soon after. I meant Woodstock is on my "to do list" because I have never ridden it. First year it opened they had the dumb rule. Both my visits last year I didn't have enough time.

LOL 2hostyl...Raptor is indeed a bore, so I suggest riding it only if you're in the mood for an afternoon nap. I think I'd stick to MF personally.:)

-Raven_Rider (who would've preferred it if there were 3 B:TR's on the piece of land where ONE Raptor is)

Raptor is pretty fun in the back seat. BTR scared the crap out of me, but Raptor was one of the just fun inverts. Kind of like Ice Dragon. Not really intense, but pretty fun. Montu and BTR would be my top picks for intensity. Alpie is still me fave though. I love the twist drop into the barn thing. You know what I'm talking about. I've not been disappointed on an invert yet(maybe, FD, but not really). I still have to ride Talon though. Think B&M will break their winners streak with me?

Thank goodness CP has Mantis! Otherwise, I don't know how I could have ever gotten onto MF.(Mantis's line was 2.5 hours last time and so was MF's, I don't ride Mantis anymore, waste of time to me)

Danny, who hopes B&M never makes another stand-up, though knows many others love them and won't care knowing others are having fun...and shorter lines for better rides

2HOSTYL-sorry for the typo!! :)
son of beast-I only work at CP on Raptor during Halloweekends.
Raven_Rider-MF is all speed and no substance, besides 1st hill and the 3 airtime hills, that ride is nothing but turns. Sorry but to me Raptor has all substance, no ride is the same. The more people that ride MF the shorter the line for Raptor. If its a choice between MF or Raptor-the bird wins..hands down. I am sure there are bigger and better inverts out there, I have only been on Raptor (and Face Off at PKI which bites the big one) so please understand my "experiences" are limited.
