Cedar Point trip help......

I need your guys help ona few things, so here they are.

1. Should I go on July 3rd and 4th or July 4th and 5th? I have to go the 4th but its key on what other day

2. How crowded are things going to be?

3.What rides do I ride on what day? I like roller coasters and VERY FEW flat rides. I dont want to ride small coasters but something like MF, or WT, stuff like that.

4. What are the money seats for each coaster?

All help is appreciated and I thank each one of you who respond.

to add a question i have...

can you buy a 2 day pass for *just* CP or do you have to buy 2 regular admission tickets? on the site, it says you can buy a 2 day pass, but its good for one day at soak city and one day at the park. is there any pass for 2 days just at the park?

Can you guys please help me here. You guys are the most reliable source I have. :)

OK, I don't have all the answers to your questions, but I'll do my best.

1) I would go for the 4th and 5th, only because you'll probably want to stay late on the forth and not want to have to drive back that night.

2) Its hard to predict exactly how crowded it'll be, but July 4th is usually one of the most crowed days of the year.

3) Magnum, Millennium Force, Wicked Twister, and Raptor are the must-rides. Other great rides are Mantis, Blue Streak, Power Tower, an the new and improved Disaster Transport. Its entirely up to you though as to what you want to ride.

4) My personal favorites are 1-3 for Magnum. I don't remember the number, but on Raptor I just love the back row far right side. Anywere on Millennium Force is good, but the front row is awesome. And Wicked Twister, the back seat is by far the best seat on the ride.

As for the two day tickets, if you buy the ride and slide or whatever its called, you get into either Cedar Point or Soak City for 2 days.

Hope this helps.

Just sit back, and enjoy your record breaking ride on Millennium Force!

Ok, unfortunately no matter what day you go to CP its going to be really crowded. Forth of July weekend is CP's most crowded days of the year. Now that doesn't mean every ride will have 2 hour waits, but you need to get to the park really early in order to ride MF, WT, Magnum, and Raptor before the lines hit 1 hour. During the course of the mid day, ride Mantis, PT, and BS. When the lines start dying around 9ish, then get in line for the big boys again. I always avoid CP around this time, but take my advice if you don't like waiting in lines.

I also say go with the 4th and 5th. It WILL be crowded, but the fireworks over the lake make it totally worth fighting the crowd.

CP now has two day ride n slide tickets which is the only way to go. When the park gets really crowded by afternoon, spend some time in the waterpark. I've found no matter how crowded CP is, spending time on a tube in one of the two rivers, or in the wave pool just chills me out.

Don't expect the lines to get shorter during the evening on the 4th as people will be staying at CP later for the fireworks. If you are staying at a CP resort, you will be able to enter the park early to get ERT on WT and MF both days. I'd certainly take advantage of that. If you are staying elsewhere, then try to take advantage of "Freeway". Keep in mind you can only get one stamp at a time...either for WT or MF. Personally, I'd go for MF first.

Millennium Forced pretty much covered the money seats, except I definitely love riding in the front seat on Raptor, especially at night.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

Don't forget Gemini, I'm surprised that nobody mentioned it. Trust me, it's a must ride and the lines move quick. Since you're not into many flat rides you can easily hit all of their coasters over those two days. But don't forget Power Tower, both sides.
What is "Freeway"? Sounds good, but I couldn't find it on CP's web site.

1. 4th and 5th, as everybody else says.

2. VERY crowded

3. If you're going to be there 2 days.....maybe one day hit MF/Magnum, (MF when gates open obviously) then the other day hit WT/Raptor, that way you spread out your heavy wait times. Mantis is definitely a must ride, yet it is starting to.....fade away from me i think. Gemini, by far in my top 3 at CP, just a must ride, thank you Incindentalist. Iron Dragon and Disaster Transport are just fun "relaxing" coasters, I personally love the Iron Dragon, not many other people do, but hey, whatever, good ride. Power Tower, definitely at night if possible.

4. Money seats: MF - Front, Magnum - Front, WT - Back, Raptor - Front or Back, Mantis - Front, Gemini - BACK, Iron Dragon/DT - Anywhere, Power Tower - if you don't want to wait a while, go for UP, but if you're willing to wait, go for DOWN at night and just hope you're lucky and get a view of MF at night sitting 300 ft. up, it's awesome, trust me.

Welcome back riders, how was your ride...Enjoy your day, here at Cedar Point, America's roller coast.

I'd say go on another month, but we sometimes can't right?

You can still have fun even if lines are long.. just don't expect to get all the rides in..

CANADA ROCKS!
Why do people line up for bad movies, simply for the fact that the words 'STAR WARS' are in the title?????

What are the crowds going to be like this wednesday and thursday? Is it going to be very crowded at all? Also, is getting into the park 30 minutes early by staying on-grounds worth it?

"Grit your teeth, bear the load. Enjoy your ride on Thunder Road"

I'd put in a vote for back seat on Magnum being the best - Magnum's gotten rougher over the years, but if you're short like me, you can't see over the front windsheild anyway, so back is a better ride. If you're over 5'8" though, it probably doesn't matter :)

Also, if you do the park back to front instead of front to back, you can usually hit everything in one day - even on the most crowded days (although ive never been there on the 4th ... i imagine its crazy)

Jim, Freeway is Cedar Point's version of FastPass. It is pretty nice. You get a hand stamp that is your 'fastpass'. This site has more information http://www.experiencethepoint.com/info/freeway.asp
