Cedar Point Trip

Hi,

Next Tuesday, myself and a few other people are going to Cedar Point. We're staying there for two nights so we plan on going in for Starlight on Tuesday and for the full day on Wednesday (hopefully we'll get everything in at least once), leaving in the morning on Thursday. We're going to be staying at Breakers Express (by the way, if anyone has stayed there, how is it?). We chose Express because I've heard mostly negative things about the two hotels directly adjacent to CP, and Express is significantly cheaper while you still retain the early entry benefit of the other CP resorts.

I'm sure from the bazillions of trip reports that are posted for Cedar Point I could come up with a plan of my own (which I likely will anyway), but I was wondering if anyone had any good tips for a first visit to Cedar Point. Any advice (rides..how to tackle them, dining, stuff I should see that I might miss, etc.)? Also, does anyone know what the crowds are like mid-week in mid-August? Of course I'm expecting crowds, and I definitely won't mind waiting since it'll be my first time there, but I was just wondering. Thanks for any input you have!

In the morning I start out with the big ride I want to ride then move to the back of the park starting with Magnum, Gemini...

Try for TTD the nite before your first day, so that if you don't get it then you can try the next morning when you get early access, and if you do get it the nite before, it won't matter as much if it goes down the next day.

And ride Gemini for me ;).
