Cedar Point will pay $9.25 to $12.50 per hour for employees in a variety of departments, including ride operations, food and beverage, accommodations, games and more. That rate is 5 to 10 percent higher than last year.

I stand by my comments in the Disney thread, but I would like to add that things like this do make me happy to see. Hopefully they get some good talent out of this.

Dutchman is right. It's not easy working 16 hours a day, six days a week, in the weather. I don't think finding talented employees is the reason they are raising wages.

That is how it should work. If you are not getting the type/quality of workers that you need or not getting sufficient numbers of them or they are not staying as long as you want, one option is to increase what you are paying (or increase/offer other benefits). Shouldn't be required to do that to get to some level of "living wage" or simply because you can afford to pay more.
