Cedar Point Tactics!

I will be going to CP this Saturday, my plan of attack is getting there about 8:30 and walking back to the side entrance near the Cinema and as soon as the gates open immediately head to MF. This way I will be on one of the first trains out of the station that day. Also I will then beat getting trampled to death in the MF mile when the gates open up when everyone goes charging to the MF. Any other suggestions out there?
I would head to Mantis after that. For some reason the lines on this coaster seem to get really long and they move really slow.

Work in a circle. Go clockwise throughout the park after Mantis.

Let the bears pay the Bear Tax, I pay the Homer Tax.
Enjoy yourself, and don't let it ruin your day if you can't get on everything! Saturdays, you know.

Wait for the LAzer light show and nobody will be any of the cues. I rode Raptor 3 times in a row during this time.

on wednesdays and thursdays its like any other amusement park, not that many people but you still find a line for MF being almost 3 hours of course that was last year who knows how it is now?

I was just there on Tuesday and the line was only 40 minutes. Longest I saw all day was 1 hour.

...the reason for the long lines on Mantis is because of that confounded 2 train operation! I don't care it they stack a train every time they don't dispatch on time, in the end they still send more people through the ride. The wait for Mantis can be as long as 1 3/4 hours at times and no more than a walk on at other times. It depends on the time you heppen to be at the coaster during the day. The shortest waits are in the morning (after a ride on MF of course, :)) and about an hour before and during the laser light show

Not to mention it's directly across the midway from Millennium Force. This guarantees steady traffic, people will ride this while they are in the area for MF. The restraint system slows things down too, they have been experimenting with a two train setup to see what kind of results they get. Two trains or three, this ride takes longer to load and unload passengers - three trains guarantee stacking.

Your arrival at the marina gate should be a good time. But because only one gate usually/always operates at it, people in front at the main entrance who run will beat you there only if you're a little ways back in the line. And another thing I've noticed. When people arrive at MF right away and see the line is stretched even to Red Garter Saloon when they havn't open the queue yet, they think it is a very long line already, when really it's only 10 min as soon as the trains start.
