I only rode it once and I had a great time on it becuase my wife hates water rides. I told her that we wouldnt get that wet (she didnt pay attention to all the water in the boat and seats). We were both drenched and she didnt talk to me for a couple hours.

The ride experience besides that was not much fun. All I remember was the boat going very slow and banging into the concrete walls.

You definitely have a different perspective than me on what constitutes a fun marriage.

Well it was fun while on the ride but trust me she got me back for that one.

That is a requirement? We have people here who hate rides before they are even built much less ridden. Travis at least saw it in person before thinking the layout was stupid.

GoBucks I'm impartial to the opinions people hold about coasters before they are built, or before ridding them. I mean look at a dragon coaster for the little wee ones. You know right away its gonna suck, its just obvious, but its also not meant for a full grown adult either. I think there are certainly other exceptions as-well to these strong opinions. Most of us have all ridden painful arrow loopers, so when we see an arrow looper with a different design even, the assumption that the ride sucks might be completely accurate. I've ridden Behemoth at Wonderland countless times, so when I look at a ride like Goliath at La Ronde, Im gonna safely assume its gonna suck and be boring for its smaller in scale size, and its simple out and back hilly layout. Judging a coaster before ridding it might seem ridiculous, but based on my experience I think I'm probably going to be right about my assumption. At least in my own mind. I think there is a fine line here and it really comes down to personal preference.

Yup.

There's plenty of places to add rides, attractions and so on. .If the park starts, say, consolidating off stage operations, they could open up even more space.

Digression: Speaking of finding ways to add new coasters, I keep wondering just exactly how many coasters Hersheypark thinks it can squeeze into The Hollow. :-)

Dive to Atlantis at Noah's Ark was another ride where the trough was "too level" - the ride doesn't move if you're effectively in a pond.

I think what I said might be a little far stretched, but I do kinda see how some people feel a ride might suck before ever ridding.

I'm sure I don't have to ride a ride to have an opinion about its layout and design. I was talking about appearance, and not the actual experience of riding it.

About ride experience though, sure, people like us who have been on a lot of different rides can probably figure out if a ride is any good by looking at it and taking into consideration similar rides.

Given the almost universal hatred for the ride, can't we just give Travis a pass on this one? ;)
